Dr. Caroline Merritt-Schiermeyer, DO

I have been seeing Dr Merritt once a week for several weeks. She has been treating an infection on my leg. I only wish my deceased wife could have been assigned as her patient nine years ago. There is no doubt in my mind…that she would still be alive today. Now I only wish I could be assigned to her as my PCP. She is excellent in Avery wat! The BEST physician I’ve ever had in my 76 years. God bless her and keep her well for many years to continue saving lives!

I really like Dr Merrit alot. I am very comfortable with her. I trust her But I don't understand when I have called in the last several months the staff says she's not there. A week ago june 24,2022. Ii called to get an appointment and someone said she quit to call back on Monday . I did. And asked if they found out anything. Because the girl said she quit and she didn't know what was going on. So I called Monday and the girl said , like nothing was wrong. She said she's here. And I said I just need a stich out so the nurse would work. So went in Friday and Ms Jackie the sweetes person in the world took out the stitch . So since then I have a pretty serious condition that just came up. And called to get an appointment and once again Lori said she is not there and I couldn't get an appointment until July 19th . With Dr Thompson which i thought retired. Which he is a wonderful doctor also. But I hope someone reads . And reachs out

Dr. Merritt has always taken the time to listen to me. She's very empathetic and caring and has always done a thorough exam and explained what is going on. She goes above and beyond. I would definitely recommend her for all your healthcare needs.

She set in her ways!! Does not treat a patient as the osteopathic school has her to do!!! She is not going to change ! She not much different from the MD! She tends towards meds instead of treating the way she way she was taught in the osteopathic school of medicine!!! Her staff changes all the time. Never the same people the next time you go in. The staff member named Regina is very rude and does not know what she is talking!! If this is the kind of dr. You want I suggest you go see her!!!

She takes time to listen, goes beyond the routine standard to figure out what could be the cause of the sickness. She's very professional and kind

It was wonderful to find a doctor who truly listens to my concerns. She took the most complete medical history of any doctor I’ve seen in quite a while. Will I recommend her to others...you bet.

Dr. Merritt is very thorough in her examination and treatment, makes sure I understand her focus of treatment and care for my needs. Her staff is always pleasant as is she. I would recommend Dr. Merritt for both routine care and for management of complex care as well. She spends whatever time is needed for patient care.
