Dr. Cerezo cared for my daughter for 7 years, from age 15 to age 22. The first few times I met her, I wasn't impressed with her bedside manner. She was clearly very competent but didn't seem to connect with us. Then about two month after our 1st appointment, my daughter suffered serious complications and Dr. Cerezo's true nature came through. She listened to my concerns and cared for my daughter as if she were her own child. When my daughter transitioned to an adult GI, we all cried.

We had a terrible experience with Dr. Cerezo and would not recommend her. She is very dismissive of parents' concerns. She came into an appointment to examine my infant daughter who was asleep. Without even conducting an exam she stated that she is malnourished and that was the reason that she was asleep during the appointment. The staff treats clients in a demeaning manner and families' concerns are dismissed for very opinionated advice.

I must say I would not recommend this doctor to anyone I know. I have been trying to get my daughter into another gastroenterologist but because she is under 18 our choices are limited. We have seen Dr. Cerrezo twice and she has yet to ask about family medical history, even in light of my informing her that there is a significant family history of colon cancer on both maternal and paternal sides of the family. One the first visit I felt she was very dismissive of my daughters symptoms.
