Please come back Dr. Kotzan
I used Dr. Kotzan for many many years. She was always compasionate and never rushed me. Although wait times were sometimes long, I attribute this to the fact that she probably was giving all of her other patients the same attention she gave me. The wait was always worth it. I wish she hadn't closed her practice due to the beuracracy of the Northwestern Mediciine group. If she ever reopens in another location I will definitely use her again as my primary physician. I miss her and her staff. The Northwestern Medicine group has made the experience very cold, difficult and unpleasant. No bedside manner. It feels like the whole experience is about the money.

Dr. Kotzan gaslighted me into thinking that I was somehow faking the pain of severe ovarian torsion from a melon sized ovarian cyst, misdiagnosed my strep throat as malingering on two occasions and generally made me feel as small and insignificant as possible. Please find another doctor, if you're looking. I would give anything for the time and wellness that she cost me back.
