I have a different experience with Dr. Gardner. I have had two tick encounters over recent years and when all other clinics failed to take it seriously Carol Gardner met and exceeded professional Lyme literate standards. She saved my life once though no longer accepts medicaid for the visit expense she promptly returned my off-duty urgent call and instilled both hope and pertinent information as I now battle stage 3 Lyme due to Lyme Illiterate UVM. I wish I had gone back to Gardner earlier.

I was referred to Dr. Gardner by a friend who is battling tick borne illness. The IGenex lab in California ruled out Lyme. Dr. Gardner strongly suspected anaplasmosis and she was spot on. She is very busy, but has spent the time with me I have needed, 3 visits so far. Office and nursing staff are very nice, but I did make some phone calls and not getting a return call was upsetting given how sick I am. It’s clear she has a heavy patient load. Good doctors are hard to find and work very hard.

Concerning visits with Dr. Gardener regarding Lyme Disease and co-infections has led me to a different Lyme specialist. Dr. Gardener is scattered and unfocused. She knows little about the subjects she should be well-versed in, being an LLMD. Dr. Gardener's staff is wonderful and the office is beautiful, however Gardener's skills are completely lacking in knowledge, leadership, scheduling, and wait time.

After hearing positive remarks on Dr.Gardner, I decided to place my medical care in her hands. Unfortunately those hands were incapable. The disappointment I have experienced in my time with Dr. Gardner is high and concerning. There appears to be a lack of knowledge in areas she proclaims to be knowledgeable on and a serious lack of attention to detail exists. I am beyond disappointed and am very discouraged. While the office is clean and staff friendly, Dr.G is what is lacking at this practice.

Among other things, Doctor Gardner is an outstanding diagnostician. She is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic, and the best that I've ever seen on follow through. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
