Dr. Carmen Avramut, MD

During my first visit with this new psychiatrist, Carmen Avramut, I was referred to by my therapist, she had deemed me unfit and wanted me certed. Prior to going into the office, I had told the nurse that I had been off of my medication, because I had ran out from my other psychiatrist. I told her that because I had been off my medication, I may be emotional during the visit, she assures me that the doctor was used to this and that it was okay. When I entered the doctors office, she was condescending towards my trauma, and further told me that they wouldn’t be able to titrate the medicine quick enough for me, and that she wanted to transfer me to a inpatient facility to get it done faster. In which I tried to decline and told her I am okay, I will be okay, and that I have fleeting thoughts of being hit by a car etc., but not suicidal thoughts and that I would be able to handle it until I was able to get my medicine titrated. She told me that my only option was to be certed for meds.
