I had been with the same obgyn for many years in London before moving to Savannah. You are in excellent hands with Dr Pettigrew. I have been a patient for 2 years and I had a D&C. Initially, I found her bedside manner slightly chilly. She is all about business and very professional. Now we have got to know each other better, I find her warm, clear in her advice, and I trust her implicitly. I am grateful to have found such a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Pettrigrew has absolutely NO bedside manner. As a healthcare professional myself I was extremely disappointed at my last two office visits. She botched taking out my IUD and I was terrified! I am still in pain 24+ hours later. She doesn't care about what you have to say, and she doesn't want to listen at all. I felt like I was in her office just wasting her time. I now plan to change OBGYNs and I will never recommend her to anyone!

I am in the menopausal stage of life and she truly listens and understands what my issues are and can address them appropriately. She is very easy to talk to. She can also explain things in a way that I understand, and she makes sure I am clear about my understanding of what is going on. I never feel rushed when I am in the exam room with her, she takes the time needed to meet my needs.

Dr. Pettigrew is who you want at your side if the you know what hits the fan. She is an intelligent, capable doctor who very much cares for her patients. Her personality is not warm and fuzzy, and while that might be an additional plus, I'm not looking for a best friend when selecting the best pre-natal care. She and her staff are extremely professional. As a bonus, I've rarely waited more than 15 minutes for an appointment. If I did, it was because she squeezed me in.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Pettigrew as a new patient on 12-21-16. As a first time patient, I was pleased with everything during my office visit. The staff was professional, Dr. Pettigrew was personable, pleasant, & hands on, & I spent what I felt like was a reasonable amount of time at the office.

I just found out that I'm pregnant. I called to make my first appointment today in which I was rudely greeted by her receptionist. She gave me an attitude on why I didn't call my insurance company first and then hung up. I called my insurance to clear that I was covered and then called back. She hung up on me three times in a row!! Needless to say, I am not taking my chances there, desire the "good reviews".

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Pettigrew?
Dr. Pettigrew is a good doctor, despite being slightly type A and difficult to talk to, But her practice is very concerned with money over patient care. I say that not as someone who is delinquent on bills. The billing person confused my deductible with my out of pocket maximum and insisted I either pre-pay 10,000 dollars or find a new doctor at 22 weeks pregnant. No assistance was offered with this process, and I had an extremely difficult time finding someone.

I have trusted her with my life and my child's life during pregnancy/ birth. She is brilliant. However, I felt a bit as if she was of the opinion that I was less intelligent than she is on more than one occasion. Others in the area have expressed the same opinion. If a woman values excellent health care over bedside manner then you could not be in better hands.
