Dr. Carmel Joseph, MD

I am a retired health care provider just beginning to experience wear and tear in different areas. Recently developed dyspnea and sent to Dr. Joseph due to an abnormal CXR. He was very thorough in his evaluation and I felt like he really cared about my condition. I would highly recommend him. He did run a little late but well worth the wait.

I asked for my records to be sent to a different DME supplier for CPAP. The one I was using was not able to get my order filled after being ordered for a month (back ordered and no eta).Dr. Joseph’s office has not sent the information and does not return calls after 4pm as indicated by their recorded message. Numerous attempts have gone unanswered. I need a new cpap doctor as well as a DME supplier. I don’t recommend this practice.

Very arrogant and judgmental. Talked about himself most of the time. He said derogatory things about my condition. Very difficult to ever get ahold of anyone when calling and the wait times were over 2 hours over the appointment.

Dr. Joseph is an amazing doctor and person! He is my husbands doctor and he got him well after we spent 2 months in and out of the hospital. I was so impressed with him that I made an appt for my mom when she was experiencing so breathing issues. He took his time with her and made her feel important and not just another number. He is very knowledgeable and works hard to get to the bottom of his patients health issues. Another positive is his office staff. They are all so personable and go out of their way to get you an appointment. Michelle and Dee Dee are wonderful!

My mother was seen here yesterday. She has been going to Dr. Joseph for quite a few years! Yesterday, however, he was more interested in teaching a student than being a doctor. When she went in yesterday she had concerns that she was never allowed to address because Dr Joseph was too busy explaining an x-ray to his student. I understand that there are students that do their rotations with doctors. I also understand that there is a time and a place to teach outside the exam room, especially when your patient is paying and needing your time! They pay your salary and your staff’s!

I’m not one who likes to leave reviews, or rather, I don’t take the time often to write a review, but this particular review is necessary because I have nothing but the highest rated opinion and respect for Doctor Carmel Joseph. I was feeling as though I was not being the wife, mother, neighbour or friend that I wanted to be because I was chronically fatigued and felt as though I always needed a nap. However, a nap only made me realize I was more exhausted and it was a persistent and stressful feeling. I wasn’t aware that I might have a reason as to why I had excessive daytime (and nighttime) sleepiness. My PCP suggested I get a sleep study and I was willing to do so, but had a pessimistic perspective that nothing would work. I was wrong. I participated in the sleep study and sleep latency test to find that I had been living with restless legs and Cataplexy and Narcolepsy. Doctor Jospeh was informative and helpful in each of my appointments. He had a way of making me feel valued as a patient and I was never rushed or put aside as many other doctors often do. Carmel Jospeh patiently answered all my questions and cared to give me the very best treatment possible. I’m grateful and fortunate that I had the studies done and even more thankful that my care was top notch from both the staff and Doctor Joseph. I have since moved away, but will always be thankful that Dr. Joseph was a fantastic and compassionate doctor who helped me get my life goals back on track through the medical help and necessary prescriptions to keep up with all of my family’s needs. I truly wish all doctors were as wonderful and supportive as he.

Dr. Joseph is extremely qualified. He took a considerable amount of time explaining and reviewing the results of my test. He is very friendly and relatable. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Joseph was the only Dr.out 4 Dr's that explained why I would not be having a Hiatal Hernia repair. Without going into a lot of detail I'll just say I wouldn't be sitting here telling you that Dr.Joseph is the Dr.of the year for me. On the road to some self healing. My heart is grateful and thankful for this man's knowledge and 27 years of practice that truly saved my life by way of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you Dr.Joseph.

As a New Pt, Dr, Joseph was very knowledgeable on my diagnosis and was very thorough in explaining his treatment plans for me. He was very professional, friendly, caring and helpful during my office visit. The Office Staff was also very professional, friendly, caring and helpful during my New Pt office visit, which are four essential Patient care areas that I look for at all times. I would definitely recommend Dr. Joseph to others.

The staff was very proficient and courteous. There was very little wait time. Dr. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to, very thorough in everything. He explained everything and in a way it could be understood. Most definitely, recommend him. It was refreshing to come out of the office feeling everything was answered and covered.

My visit was exceptional from the moment I arrived until the moment I departed. The entire support team (receptionist, support personnel and Dr Joseph) were friendly, knowledgeable, and proficient. The receptionist is totally awesome – not just helpful but also kind and reassuring. The support staff rocks. breathing tests, x-rays – whatever is required gets done in a timely fashion with a smile. Everything is explained in detail with a continued offer to provide any assistance required. Dr Joseph is extraordinary. He knows his stuff. He provided a precise explanation of my issue, immediately presented the best approach to handle the problem and clearly explained required follow up actions. An amazing team. I honestly have never experienced a more satisfying visit to any other doctor office or medical facility. These people care and it shows.e

Saved my life...literally! Saw him on a Tuesday for pneumonia, where he found it was a critical infection. Even though Doctor's Hospital was full because of the Covid crisis, I was on the operating table the next day for a bronchoscopy. He is very personable and I have complete confidence in his expertise!

I've known and worked with Dr. Joseph for about 20 years. He's a caring and extremely knowledgeable physician. I've been seeing him as a patient for 6 months and am amazed at his knowledge regarding my condition and his expert treatment and care plan. I enjoy meeting his staff in the office and everyone is always helpful and I always feel I'm the only patient although the office is teaming with patients and everyone is busy as a bee! I'm very grateful that the CSRA has such a wonderful physician for all pulmonary patients!

Dr Joseph was very knowledgeable and explains everything in a very informative way for the patient. Was very kind and patient . Follows up with his patients and takes extra precautions to ensure your health. Also got a visit very quickly thanks to Michelle who is also awesome!

Having been a healthcare professional for many years, I had a numerous questions when I saw Dr. Joseph for a pulmonary consult. He answered my questions patiently and in detail. He also educated me in areas of concern, and of positive potential, that were not on my radar to initiate a discussion around. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking a pulmonary consult.

Dr Joseph, I'm sure is quite capable in his field, however I've concluded that his office is poorly run. Last year when I saw him I waited well over 2 hours before I finally saw him. I was furious. Today, after an hour and a half, I walked out and never did see him. I will never be back.

Dr. Joseph went took time to go over my records and tests thoroughly. He was reassuring as well as easy to talk to! I definitely would recommend him to others.
