Dr. Carlton Lyons, MD

It's a big loss for the practice and our area that he is now retired. I am grateful that I went through surgery last year which corrected the big issue I have had in my whole adult life, and the recovery was much better than anticipated. He's great in explaining and making me more at ease during the whole process. I was just puzzled to see the itemized bill of the surgery - the insurance didn't seem to give him fair share. The cost of the hospital room was pricier than the cost of his skill, I found it very unfair. I hope he enjoys and can relax in this new phase of life - and perhaps reinvent himself to do something else. This community will surely miss him dearly. Thank you so very much, Dr Lyons !!

I love how caring and knowledgeable Dr. Lyons is and I am sad that he is retiring. My complaint is how difficult it is to get in touch with the office. I have tried calling at different times on different days but it doesn't matter. It is nearly impossible to get through. Sometimes the answering service answers and they don't identify themselves as a service so I have actually explained very personal information to them before they decide to let me know they are only the answering service and to call back! I work a full time job and can't call during my lunch because the office is closed for lunch as well. So I spend valuable time on hold only to be told to call back. It is very frustrating.

Through much research we found that Dr. Lyons was the best in the state. From the first appointment I felt confident that I had chosen the right Doctor. He explained my problem and how he was going to correct it. His personality and bedside manor is very comforting. He is caring and considerate . I had total faith in him. Thank you Dr. Lyons for making a difference in my life and giving me back my self esteem.

Dr Lyons and staff were wonderful. First surgery ever was scared to death, they were so kind and helpful. Would absolutely recommend him and his staff 100%. Could not have asked for anyone better. He is an awesome and caring surgeon.

I wrote a longer review on Google, but the space given here isn't enough. Suffice to say, Dr. Lyons and Erin are absolutely wonderful, and I had the best experience with them. I've been to other GYN in the past, but none have been as thorough in their explanations as this office. I was in great hands, and I will be back. Thank you both!

Dr. Lyons and staff did a wonderful job helping me from the beginning to end. I can surely say he is one of the most professional and knowledgeable physicians in this area that I would not hesitate to go to for my wellness care. I was extremely nervous and from the beginning he assured me I would be just fine, and I was. I would 100% recommend Dr. Lyons to individuals that need expertise and professional healthcare.

I love Dr. Lyons and his staff. He is a brilliant surgeon and has a heart of gold. He listens and cares for each and everyone of his patients. I was very reserved with my first appointment. After talking with Dr. Lyons my whole attitude changed. I would recommend Dr. Lyons very highly to anyone who is having female problems.

Absolutely love Dr. Lyons and his staff! I’ve been dealing with excruciating pain during my menses for 2 and half years! I got the run around and felt like I was crazy at my previous OB. After dealing with the debilitating pain for that long I finally had enough! Thank goodness I found Dr. Lyons! He listens, cares, and finds the right approach to help you. I was a little nervous about surgery but was more than ready to get relief. I highly recommend Dr. Lyons and his amazing staff!

He has done 2 surgeries on me & I wouldn't go anywhere else. He is the best. Very kind man & brilliant surgeon. I just adore Dr Lyons.

He helped me get pregnant with my two children. I was very high risked. My children are 16,15,when i need womanly help because of many issues,i counldn't of been any happier. I would recommend him to any woman that needs help! He has had my life in his hands many times due to issues and i wouldn't of trusted anyone else like i do him.

Dr. Lyons was the first doctor able to diagnose me with polys and endometrial hyperplasia. He is the first physician who actually listened to me and took my symptoms seriously without pathologizing them. I highly recommend Dr. Lyons. He is an incredible physician

Dr. Lyons is as wonderful a person as he is as a doctor! When he says that he wants you to have the BEST life possible, he truly means it. Not only does he listen wholeheartedly to his patients, he makes sure that they understand what he is going to do to help them. He is the most caring and compassionate doctor that I have ever met! He truly is and has been a blessing to my life! He has made my quality of life so much better by making the decision to do three much needed surgeries on me over the years. I can never thank him enough for being the best doctor that he possibly could be! I would rate him and his staff a 10+!

What a fine gentleman Makes you feel comfortable and try’s informing you on what’s going on without talking down too you! If you been diagnosed with a problem! He’s should be your first consideration for a second opinion and the only one you want working on the most personal part of your body Not only does he care about your gynecology problem he makes sure you whole well being is cared for.He doesn’t miss anything in your exam, this Man is very through! You might have too wait for awhile for your first appointment but if you’re really serious about getting the best it’s worth the wait after all your health is the most important thing or you wouldn’t be reading this review. Oh and by the way I wasn’t the patient but I was the observer and the patient was and is the most important person in my live “my partner” so the outcome is very important She’s my whole world what I live for. P.S I’ve been disabled from a car accident for 24yrs have seenmy share of Dr’s and was married to a Nurse

Fantastic. A caring and highly skilled physician.

His bedside manner is nice, but his support staff in the front office and on the phone is terrible. Was in the parking garage looking for a space and when finally found one was few minutes late. Called and said where I was but put me on hold to take another call and then was told I had to reschedule. This was after me having to call them to remind them to call in a prescription. Twice. Hope I never become that important that staff treats clients that way.

He was wonderful very caring and friendly

Extremely well bed-side manner shown from the entire staff. Dr. Lyons & his team are very determined to help. After 2 years of emergency room visits EVERY MONTH, being turned away & told that nothing was wrong with me, I was finally referred to Dr Lyons. From the very beginning they took the time to actually listen to what I was going through & the amount of pain I was dealing with. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and they took care of all of it. I am finally pelvic pain free!

Dr. Lyons is one of the best doctors I have ever used. He is extremely kind, considerate, and informative. He puts his patients at ease the moment he walks into the room with his wonderful bed-side manner. He treats his patients with great respect, taking all the time needed to assure them of his ability to help them in the best way he can. Staff members are always friendly and help beyond the "call of duty". Anyone NOT using these talented people is loosing the great care they deserve.

Dr Lyons has been my OB doctor since I was pregnant with my first son 16 years ago. He has helped me with female issues that resulted in surgeries and always has a kind word to make you feel at ease during visits and procedures. He cares about his patients and staff. His staff is amazing also. I can't say enough good things about this Dr. He is amazing at his job in so many ways.

After reading a medical study online from Harvard University I suspected that Dr. Lyons had me undergo two D&Cs that were unnecessary. I sought a second opinion from a gynecologist in Elkhart, who had just come from a conference at Harvard on that subject. He agreed with me. I no longer go to Dr. Lyon.
