Inept
I’ve had my right hip replaced and my left knee replaced by other doctors. I know what a good replacement is like. They are life savers! Dr Alvarado messed up in performing my left hip replacement. He replaced it slightly crooked so I’ve been living with pain. He refuses to see me and says he no longer takes my Miami Dade Teachers insurance. He knows he messed up but his huge ego won’t let him admit it to others. Leaving me in pain.

Thank for dr alvarado for changing my life.. You made me feel comfortable and explained to me detailed by detailed about my surgery..anterior approach hip replacement was the way to go.. here I am 1 week out of surgery and I could tell you that I am a changed person thanks to you. My legs feel straight and within weeks I should be a different person thanks to you.. God bless thanks again RG

My visit to Dr. Alvarado's office greeted me with kind, caring and efficient staff. They were professionals in their duties from front office, xray techs, lab techs, scheduling and Dr. Alvarado's P.A. Dr. Alvarado is educated beyond his years and listens totally to his patients as he begins to put in place the best plan of improving their quality of life. As a surgeon, he explains every detail and encourages his patients by offering his skill and compassion. Dr. Alvarado just completed a total knee revision on me and I looking forward to a healthier lifestyle. I highly recommend Dr. Carlos Alvarado.

His bedside manners are extraordinary. He really loves and cares for his patients. He is honest and believes in a higher power. I cane from Georgia to Miami, Florida to have him do my knee replacement which was my 5th surgery. I have been able to get back to being active after being told by doctors in Georgia that they may have to amputate my leg from the knee down. He is a true blessing and I love him.

Highly over rated! I've had both hips done by two different doctors. I know a good hip replacement, his was not. Anterior hip replacements are harder because there is less room to work. Carlos didn't get mine perfectly placed. When I showed him his error, he said maybe therapy would fix it, but he doesn't take my new School Board insurance so I'm on my own. I'm experiencing pain and limited range of motion. Anterior hip replacements naturally have a faster recovery but harder to get right

From useless to dancing in 6 weeks! I am so appreciative of Dr Alvarado’s magic! I had anterior total replacement hip surgery and I can’t believe I feel so good in such short time. I hope he can perform his magic also in my son, thank you Doctor Alvarado, you are a great surgeon and a charismatic and sweet human being!!

I would RECOMMEND !!!!!!!!Dr. Alvarado 200% He is an amazing caring Doctor he knows what hw is doing I had revision surgery the doctor did in 2015 and I am still a happy camper! He is informative, kind and caring where others would not do my surgery he said yes and I am 100% on my right side like a teenager Thank You Doctor you returned me back to life!!!

I loved his bedside manner with my elderly dad. He took the time to explain and answer questions. He came highly recommended and he did not disappoint me. My dad is in his late 80's and he had him walking pain free the day of the surgery. His skill as a surgeon is great. He personality is great and his staff was also wonderful. Overall a great experience for all of us. Dad is extremely happy, walking and driving. Thank you .

Dr. Alvarado is a FIVE STAR STELLAR example of a doctor. Compassionate and caring, he begins by developing and keeping a solid communication with his patients and ALWAYS walks in the room with a smile and ready to LISTEN. THEN, he will decide on his course of treatment. So many doctors decide what they will say before they even meet the patient. As a surgeon, Dr. Alvarado is slow yet not scared. He proceeds with caution but when the time is right he knows it and jumps into action.

I just had a total knee replacement. I could not have asked for a more caring, compassionate, empathetic, honest doctor. The minute he walked in my room when I made the initial appointment to do the surgery, I knew he was someone I could trust and feel comfortable with to do this surgery and he did not disappoint. First class surgeon.

Dr Alvarado helped me after a fall, 2 months after a hip replacement in Michigan. He revised the hip surgery and did femur reconstruction. I am very happy with his work, this was 2 1/2 years ago. I highly recommend him on his bedside manner , honesty and skill.

Two months ago to the day Dr. Alvarado did a left anterior hip replacement surgery on me. .I had f fractured my hip some time ago by taking a fall down some stairs.. I hadn't had any surgery since I was very young and I was quite apprehensive about having this surgery, until I met Dr. Alvarado. He explained the operation to me very thoroughly and made me feel very confident that he would change my life with this operation, and he did. I was walking the same day. He is a very skilled surgeon.

Dr Alvarado is a great doctor but more important he is a mensch. He took on my hip revision, corrected it, and gave me back my health. Dr. Alvarado is a very compassionate and thorough doctor. I had hip replacement surgery with him six weeks ago, and everything went smoothly. I feel great and I am getting my energy and strength back. I'm already driving and walking without any assistance and looking forward to dancing very soon. =) Both he and his staff, especially Lisa Segura, have been very caring and attentive to my needs. If I would ever need any other type of orthopedic surgery, I would definitely go back to Dr. Alvarado.
