I went to Dr. Spivak for an excruciating pain in my lower back. This has been with me for a decade but has gotten worse every year to the point of severe pain affecting even basic functioning like walking. After viewing MRIs he recommended ablations to my sacroiliac joint and facet joints( which had brought relief in the past to a medium degree). Both were done but we're relatively ineffective. I'd say the least effective I've experienced. I know he's a neurosurgeon MD that does surgeries and I said ' where do we go from here'. This is where I believe he was uncaring. He crudely said ' I'm not a magician and there's nothing that can be done' . After my surprise and astonishment I then said , 'so what am I to do, live the rest of my life in terrible pain ' and his answer was simply 'yes'. He said go back to your pain management Dr. Found a orthopedic surgeon, 2 operations, 6 months later I'm nearly 100 % better. I have zero respect for Dr. Spivak. He's lacking in skill and compassion.

Dr Spivak was able to eliminate the constant debilitating lower back pain I have been experiencing for years. I can now get a good nights sleep and stand upright. I have other issues with my back but I chose not to have “rods and screws” put in my back which would entail major surgery. I was also shocked that Dr Spivak called me personally to get my surgery date moved up. I never had that happen to me . I have had 15 operations on various parts of my body. Dr Spivak in my opinion is not a talker, he focuses on your problem and then explains what he thinks the best coarse of action would be for your particular problem. My kind of doctor for sure. I was and am very comfortable with him and would highly recommend him. Lastly his staff is very polite and accommodating which makes scheduling of appointments a breeze.

I have been to see the doctor four times and have found that after eight years of problems that I had he is correcting I have seen many doctors orthopedists With no relief for the first time in eight years I can walk up the hill bravo

My mother has received excellent care from Dr Spivak. He and his entire staff are warm and caring. She sought his care for both knee pain and spinal stenosis. Treatment for the knee is progressing well. Her spinal deterioration was more advanced than we realized. Another surgeon might have pushed an aggressive surgical approach, but Dr Spivak viewed her as a person, not an inanimate object in need of repair. He advised this 86 year old against a major surgery that would include an extended painful recovery period and offered an minimally invasive pain management treatment. We have really appreciated his kind, gentle and holistic approach. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

Dr Spivak is a fantastic neurosurgeon. He performed extensive surgery on my neck and has been helping me with my back and sacroiliac joints. I recommend him to everyone.

Have been using Dr. Spivak for a few years now. He is very caring and I consider him the best. He does conservative treatment first doesn’t rush into surgical intervention.

Staff are kind, knowledgeable and efficient. Dr. Spivak is patient oriented and compassionate along with highly skilled, all of which creates an excellent medical experience.

The only physician that I have ever recommended to anyone is Dr. Spivak. For me recommending a doctor carries a heavy weight of responsibility especially with a neurosurgeon. However, I have complete confidence that every patient who walks through that door gets the same quality of care that I have received.

Dr. Spivak helps design the instruments and implants, so that surgeries are truly minimally invasive, effective and safe. ????????????????????

This is my third disk procedure with Dr Spivak. He has given me total relief from my back pain! Great dr highly recommend him!

Wish I had met him sooner! I had talked to another surgeon who just wanted to cut me open right away. I went to Dr Spivak for a second opinion. He gave me options. The injections he gave me did help enough to allow me to hold off on surgery for now. So happy I met him.

Dr. Spivak was fantastic. He was very personable and really made me feel comfortable . The procedure went smoothly and he explained everything as he went along. He answered all my questions in a way i could understand. I started feeling better as soon as he was finished. To top it off, the cost of the procedure was affordable. I can't say enough about him.

About 2 months ago, I wounded up in the E.R suffering from tremendous pain from my herniated disks. Dr.Spivak was the neurosurgeon, MRI found disks ruptured/pinching spinal nerves. I deal with pain, everyday of my life for years now. I found that SO much of my pain that I have dealt with is gone from the neck surgery that had to be done. I am so happy to have him as my surgeon. His bed side manners are great, he's caring and listens to your concerns. I look forward to my appointments vs dreading
