Excellent care
I had both knees replaced, about eight months apart. The care I received from Dr. Herndon (& his team) was outstanding in every way. I was well prepared for the surgery, the procedure went very well, and the follow-up care was excellent. One of the nurses told me, 'Dr. Herndon is a perfectionist, and when you've having knee surgery, that's exactly what you want.'

Dr. Herndon saved my mother's life. My mother was experiencing extreme pain in her left hip. For almost a full week, others were dismissing it as Arthritis. Doctor Herndon took the time to do further blood work and discovered a serious infection in her hip joint. He gave us options including surgery. Dr. Herndon was extremely helpful in guiding us when other complications arose. My 90 year old mother is now back to bowling, four days a week. Thank you Dr. Herndon.

Friendly and professional
Listened carefully, asked the right questions, and (alas) figured out that there wasn't much he could do--time and PT would likely fix things. In spite of my disappointment, it was a pleasure to talk to someone who explains things, without talking down to you, and offers an honest assessment of the options for treatment.

Terrible doctor
I waited over two hours for Dr. Herndon to talk to me for one minute. He seemed to think that if I didn’t have a fracture nothing was wrong, though I was experiencing considerable persistent pain. One of my worst medical experiences ever.
