I had a terrible experience with dr. Bechtold? Never explained anything about the hip surgery, just told me to make an appointment with the lady to do surgery. I called back and talked to his nurse to ask some questions and she was very rude. I went ahead and had surgery and now live with more pain then I had before. I can’t walk without pain, sit without pain, or lay without pain. He just claims the hip looks good end of story.

Dr bechtold completely turned my around! I was in so much pain I thought I would never walk much again. Now I’m walking without pain and able to work! Thank you Doc!

I went to Dr Bechtold because wanted a second opinion. Had both knees done to repair meniscus. Was in a car accident 8 mos later. My knee was killing me again and the ortho doctor I had kept giving me injections. Due to the pain i went to Dr Bechtold for a second opinion. He took xrays and said i had arthritis. I asked if he could do a mri cause of all the pain. I walk holding onto the wall cuz I hurt so bad. He said I only do a mri if I feel the need and I am not to that point yet. Well I went to another ortho doc and because I was in a car accident he wanted to do mri well guess what I have another tear. This doctor is rude and very not caring. I walked out of his office almost in tears because of his actions and rudeness

I'm a 49 year old male who was having pain and limited range of motion. I consulted with Dr. Bechtold and was able to schedule an appointment within a few days of calling Sanford. As soon as I met Dr. Bechtold I knew I found the right doctor. My surgery was very challenging as my hip sockets were very deep and there was trouble getting my hip dislocated. The procedure was flawless, fine line scar, walking 3 miles a day at 6 weeks and no pain. Thank for giving me my life back!!

For several years, my right knee was extremely painful. I eventually was unable to sleep, walk for more than a few steps, or play with my grandchildren. My family insisted that I had to do something to correct this. I finally contacted Dr Bechtold, and we scheduled my surgery. 6months later, I'm able to do my cattle chores and most anything else! My total hip replacement was very successful with Dr. Bechtold. My recovery was so quick and painless. Friends and family couldn't believe how quickly I recovered.

I'm writing on behalf of my wife who had both knees done by Dr. Bechtold. My wife chose Dr. Bechtold based on recommendations by relatives and friends. We were, and continue to be very impressed with the results. She just completed the one year follow up appointment and things are doing great. Should have probably had surgery done much sooner.

I had a complete hip replacement at the end of November, 2016. The anticipation was the only difficult part of the whole process. Dr. C. Dustin Bechtold, MD was extremely confident in his approach to replacing my hip. The final result was remarkable, I could not believe how quickly I recovered and how painless of a process it was. I am a 58 year old male. Dr. Bechtold replaced my right hip two years ago and my left hip this past October and my results have been nothing short of terrific. Prior to these surgeries, I was in constant pain and my mobility was limited. Now, I can play golf, walk, and really do anything i choose without any pain whatsoever. Dr. Bechtold is a gifted surgeon and I highly recommend him to anyone that is seeking the very best hip replacement outcome.

I suffered a tibial plateau fracture in 2013. Another doctor treated this terrible injury. When he left Sioux Falls, he recommended Dr. Bechtold if I had issures. I saw Dr. Bechtold for knee pain and hip pain in April 2016. I had total knee replacement in the leg of previous injury. Some screws had to be removed so components could be inserted. Difficult procedure. 8 weeks later, I had to have total hip revision (same side) because my previous components had loosed. I am doing great!

I required a full knee replacement and they scheduled everything pre-op and post-op at times convenient to me. The day of surgery, Dr. Bechtold was on call and an emergency required his expertise. He personally came into my room and gave me the option of waiting until he had completed the emergency or until the next day. His staff kept me comfortable and informed while we waited. The follow-up care in the hospital was excellent! He and his staff are capable, patient, and caring!

I recently has a total hip replacement. My experience with Dr Bechtold was excellent. He explained the procedure needed, was very patient in answering my questions and was friendly in the process. His nursing staff, physician's assistant, and everyone in both the office and Sanford Health Hospital was very friendly, informative and caring. I was given a spinal block which is what I would suggest for everyone having this procedure. I felt great immediately.

Great! I think he's the best! Total new knee went very well. Already have recommended Dr. Bechtold to friends.

DR. Was very concerned with my condition, and his staff were very polite and concerned with my condition. I would recommend DR Bechtold's clinic to anyone that is having hip pain.. The out comes were better than I expected.....keep up the good work.
