Dr. Cara-Louise Fox, MD

I’ve been an R.N. for over 43 years and I drive 160 miles to see Dr Cara Fox in Carson City, NV.. From the beginning, I’ve found her to have real compassion, she actively listens to me and engages- it’s not just about the laptop. She has excellent knowledge and skills, and I agree with and learn from the treatment plans. Instead of feeling angry or threatened when my prosthetist showed up, (a total surprise), and directed her regarding paperwork to be done, Dr Fox was gracious and grateful, admitting that this made her work easier. I never feel rushed, so if I have to wait 5-10 minutes, I don’t mind. Her staff is great, notably Estefany who always makes me feel welcome and assists me with medication refills. I recommend Dr Cara Fox wholeheartedly, without reservation. You don’t have to drive 160 miles to see how wonderful she is, but you can!

Very inexperienced. Wait time is terrible and she is rushed, rushed, rushed. She can't any questions due to lack of experience.

my experience with dr. fox was excellent. . . dr. fox is professional. . . knowledgeable. . . respectful. . . compassionate. . . detail-oriented. . . thorough. . . no-nonsense. . .(although chuckles at my lame attempts of humor). . . and very patient. best of all my physical (and emotional) health is improving thanks to her care. . . have already referred her to friends who are also delighted to find a fantastic physician! wonderful to have found a doctor whom i can trust and appreciate!

Dr. Fox diagnosed my sister with pneumonia based on a chest xray showing a dark area in upper right lung lobe. A month of antibiotics gave no improvement. She went back 2x during this period to try to get a better diagnosis, with no further workup being done. No blood draw, no soft tissue imaging. Finally, my sister went to the ER, and within 2 hours following a blood draw and MRI, they concluded she had metastatic lung cancer, and she passed the next day. Unacceptable medical care!

I found her to be a catering person

This is not a good medical office/provider in my opinion. Office is disorganized and they do not provide good medical care. Got no response f rom a referral they said was done and when I e-mailed my physician regarding this they said make an appointment. Girls at the front desk denied appointment and said they would put it through highest priority and 3 weeks later no response. Physician attempted to schedule a test that was already completed so apparently does not review medical records.
