Dr. Candice O'Hern Perfetto, MD

The entire staff from the front office to Dr O’Hern was amazing. Everyone answered questions right away. Everyone was friendly and informative. She made sure we had all the info we needed whenever we had to do anything and our first IVF was successful after two failed IUI’s at another clinic. It was a huge contrast to the horrible last clinic we were at where no-one was helpful in anyway. This place was a breath of fresh air and we can’t wait to share all of our baby pictures with the staff!

I came to Dr. O’Hern as a second opinion because the first fertility doctor I went to was awful. My body its self unfortunately does not want to cooperate with what I want but Dr. O’Hern has been amazing with explaining all procedures to me and taking care of me. I had to have a D&C about a month and a half ago and she was there and took care of me. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone.

(10 weeks pregnant) Dr O’Hearn always answers our questions and she respects us and treats us with compassion and dignity. She made this scary and intimidating process a breeze! Dr. Ohern is informative in terms of procedures , while being comforting and realistic. Our first IVF was a successful pregnancy and we have our first boy. We will see Dr. O’hern again for our second transfer.

Dr. O’Hern (met her as Dr. Perfetto) is the most amazing, patient and caring doctor I have ever seen. From my very first appointment, she made it her mission to make sure we got what my husband and I longed for for years. This Christmas, I am finally celebrating it as a family of three with a beautiful daughter who turns 1 on NYE! I also had a son who was born at 24 weeks that didn’t survive due to an incompetent cervix - but it’s because of Dr. O’Hern that I even had a chance to carry him. I cannot wait to see her again for another round!

Dr. O’Hern (previously Perfetto) is an angel. She took the time at the start of our journey to get to know my husband’s and my history in order to come up with a plan that specifically met our needs. She was patient and answered every question we had along the way. The journey wasn’t easy but she didn’t give up on us. She even encouraged us to get a second opinion, knowing how hard some decisions were. We did, but we found our way back to her, she was our comfort. After 5 natural pregnancies all followed by losses due to genetics, we are now finally pregnant via IVF with a healthy baby, and we owe this success to her! We will forever be grateful to Dr. O’Hern!

Dr. O'Hern (formerly Dr. Perfetto) is really smart and she cares. She was referred to me by my OBGYN who is amazing and she didn't disappoint - she knows what she's doing! Thanks to her God-given knowledge, I have two beautiful girls. These are girls I used to dream about! She took the time to understand the way my body works and customized my medication that way. Her staff isn't always the best or most caring. I had two incidents where a nurse made a mistake/omission, which cost me time. However, as a business owner, I understand that your staff isn't always a reflection of you. I could see the genuine concern when Dr. O'Hern/Perfetto found out the mistake and she did everything she could to correct. Thanks to Dr. O'Hern/Perfetto, it was still a successful cycle. I would just recommend that SGF play closer attention to hiring really empathetic and thorough staff. If I ever get the strength for a 3rd, I'll definitely be back to see Dr. O'Hern/Perfetto!

I now have a beautiful, perfect 5 month old daughter with the help of Dr. O’Hearn. She is kind, thorough, listens to your concerns, and takes time to explain everything. Would 100% recommend her.

Dr O’Hern (previously known as Dr. Perfetto) is one of the most kind and patient medical professionals I’ve ever gone to. She takes the time to answer any questions you may have and doesn’t make you feel rushed. She also makes you feel comfortable with any procedures or treatments you are having. Could not recommend her more.

Dr. O’Hern has been very attentive since our very first video appointment. Since we were travelling from Puerto Rico to receive IVF treatment we wanted to make sure that we had a doctor with the best chances of success. Although nothing was guaranteed we always felt at ease because there was never a question that she couldn’t answer. She always stuck to the plan unless tests results showed that it was better to change it . Dr. O’Hern was always prompt and detailed in her responses via appointment or email. For the various important steps within IVF we had her colleagues which were also excellent. It’s not only important to have your main doctor be great, but the other doctors in the clinic as well since they can be performing the egg retrieval or frozen embryo transfers. We were able to successfully get pregnant from one egg retrieval cycle and frozen embryo transfer which was a pleasant surprise to all of us.

If Dr. Perfetto gives you a diagnosis and suggests surgery, it's a good idea to talk to another doctor too.Last year, I went to the clinic for a procedure called IUI. I had done all the tests and ultrasounds they asked for, and Dr. Perfetto said everything looked normal. But after the procedure, she suddenly found a polyp in the ultrasound that was done before the procedure. I was confused and asked why she didn't see it before the IUI, but she didn't answer and wanted to schedule surgery.I asked if we could do another ultrasound to be sure about the polyp, but she said she was sure I had one and didn't agree to do another ultrasound. She gave me medicine to prepare for the surgery, but it made me feel really sick and I couldn't handle it.I decided to get a second opinion from two other doctors. They did more ultrasounds and tests with a contrast and none of them found a polyp! Be careful and get a second opinion first!

Dr. O'Hern is absolutely fantastic, professional, caring & outstanding! She is very knowledgeable & straightforward. I have a Beautiful, Healthy, Miracle Baby from IVF. I had secondary infertility due to a c-section scar defect. Dr. O'Hern gave me hope & helped me. I had seen 2 other fertility specialists & Dr. O'Hern is by far the Best! Dr. O'Hern & her staff are some amazing people who help make miracles happen! I'm so thankful for Dr. O'Hern & all the amazing people who work with her. I will be forever grateful.
