Dr. Candice Dunn, MD

Dr. Dunn is by far the worst Dr I have ever came across. Horrible bedside manner, does not know how to talk to patients or staff. I was in the hospital for a week and a half and seen her twice but she was able to make decisions on my medical care. Getting ahold of her is nearly impossible. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Dr Dunn helped me with a medical situation with my eyes. I found her recommendations good. She also understood when we needed vaccinations for our grandsons birth.

I had to make a formal complain on Dr Dunn. I wont go into the details. However UTMB and the medical board have been contacted and they are addressing the severity of the allegations. I left UTMB and went to Methodist. Best decision I've ever made.

As medical provider myself, Dr. Dunn is the most unprofessional physician I have ever worked with. She was the doctor who was in charge of my 20 year old daughter's care while she was an inpatient at UTMB Clear Lake. During a discussion with my husband and me, Dr. Dunn sat casually in a chair in my daughter's room, and referred to my daughter as "looking drunk," while she was in an altered state of consciousness. She did not examine our daughter, nor did she seem familiar with our daughter's rather complicated medical history. Dr. Dunn then inexplicably tried to discharge her while she was still in that state. When we protested, Dr. Dunn did not return repeated calls from the nursing staff, and we immediately had Dr. Dunn removed from my daughter's case. My daughter ended up back in the ICU as she had been overdosed with Valproic acid by another physician in the same hospital. I would, in no way, ever recommend this physician for anyone's health care.

Dr Dunn to great care of me during my stay in Texas City. She was professional, kind and attentive. I know I wouldn’t be here without her care and the care of the professionals that work with her. I would trust Dr Dunn with my care and the care of my loved ones.

Dr. Dunn provided incorrect directions for medication needed to help my adult son breath due to pneumonia. Pharmacy refused to fill & contacted her for correction. She never called them back. I had to contact the nurse's station at the hospital & ask that they locate her to correct the issue. At 7:03 p.m. she contacted me & violated my adult son's protected health information by discussing his health issues without knowing if she had permission to do so. I have never had a doctor blatantly violate HIPAA before, but she did. After, she told me she corrected the prescription. Dr. Dunn caused my son to suffer 2 nights of difficulty in breathing. The next morning, I went to pick up the corrected prescription only to discover she had never called it in. Once again I had to call the nurse's station and the charge nurse - NOT DR. DUNN - corrected her error. I would not recommend this doctor at all. She violates HIPAA and had no concern about my son being able to breath.

Dr. Candice Dunn took great care of me at Mainland Center Hospital in Texas City, Tx. She made me feel comfortable & I Trust her.

Anyone happen to know where Dr Dunn is? Love her and can’t find her.

I LOVE Dr Dunn. So glad I found her at the new place and can continue my healthcare with her. She cares about her patients and shows an interest in what is going on in your life, to know you and your health. She’s very knowledgeable and cates to explains things to make sure her patients understand their health. I was Leary about traveling further to see her but you go where the best care is at.

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Dunn. She's intelligent and connects information that, it seems, not many primary care doctors do these days. Most recently, she was able to identify a more serious lung issue by digging deeper into my medical history and ordering additional testing. She referred me to an excellent specialist and is genuinely interested in following up with me about results. We will follow her anywhere.
