Not Good
Took a family member to see this gentleman for hernia in abdominal wall. He gave us run around, didn’t give a great exam. Seemed like he had no idea how to work with special needs patients. Waited for referral for MRI or CAT scan and got run around then when I called he placed blame on us for not getting in to scan. I took patient to get a ultrasound before seeing him, and had sent image to his office. Very unorganized and terrible bed side manor. Patient ended up being taken to ER where they gave her a CAT scan hospital gave a great referral to see a great Dr. she scheduled surgery for a month later after appointment. Was very sad with this dr. Hope he gets better.

Dr. Nicholson did an excellent job taking care of my son's pilonidal cyst that was abscessed. The office took him in the same day I called. He explained what he was doing during the procedure and made everyone feel comfortable. We left knowing how to care for it and what to expect until the next follow up visit. He saved us an expensive trip to the ER ( long story). He's an excellent doctor. If you have a pilonidal cyst, go see him!

I found Dr. Nicholson to be personable and professional ready to answer all my questions without having to ask. He explained the problem and the procedure very thoroughly. Then asked if I had any further questions. After the procedure explained to my wife the results and then again to me after I came to in the recovery room. I would recommend Dr. Nicholson to anyone needing hernia surgery.

Dr. Nicholson is a very compassionate, skillful surgeon who is very knowledgeable about my condition and is also just a super nice person - not always easy to find both in a doctor! He first admitted me for a pretty bad diverticulitis flare up and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns during a very stressful time, and then again made sure to go over all my options before I decided to move ahead to an elective surgery several months later. The care I received from him and the nurses at Tripoint Hospital was amazing, especially with the added stress of being treated during a pandemic. I normally probably wouldn’t take the time to write a review, but I was shocked when I googled to find his office number and saw the bizarre, irrelevant reviews on this site, which contribute to a falsely low average rating. I hope no prospective patients are scared off by this nonsense, because he is really the best!
