I wouldn’t let him treat my pets if their life dep
I couldn’t visit due to Covid restrictions; however, did a zoom call with Dr. West, staff and Orangeburg Probate Court in order to secure the release of my loved one to our residence. Dr. West even suggested I have my loved one arrested if the psychotic behavior continued once released. What kind of Psychiatrist would recommend that?

HORRIBLE doctor
I had a close family member who was a patient of Dr. West in the spring of 2023. I have never met a doctor who acted more unprofessional that Dr. Bryan West. He did not speak to his patients in person but spoke with them via web visit. He refused to return our family’s phone calls when we asked questions about what the next step in treatment should be. He made completely inappropriate comments about our family as well. He refused to run certain medical test when we asked based on previous family history. He diagnosed my family member with 3 different conditions and the diagnosis changed based on who he was talking to at the time. Since being released from Dr. West treatment my family member has had a 2nd opinion by another specialist and we have found out Dr. West was completely wrong with the diagnosis. I would NEVER wish for a family to go through what we went through with Dr. Bryan A West.

Dr. West in my opinion is a good doctor. If he would engage in conversation more with his patients he would be a great doctor.
