disappointing
the appointment was a disappointment, I drove over 200 miles for an evaluation and it was given after 15 min without even seeing my tremors in action. I thought he would at least ask me to hold a small object to see the type of shake I had in my hand , I thought he might put me on a tread mill for 10 min to stress my body enough to show the other extreme body movement tremors I had but no...... he just listened to my description , did a few basic strength reflex tests then a few other head movement tests then proclaimed what he thought I had , gave me a few treatment options and sent me on my way without ever seeing my tremors in action. I get it a lot of experts in their field just know what something is without having to run a bunch of tests, and his eval prob. is correct but when you start skipping fundamentals and start making assumptions that is when things get missed. He is a nice person but I def would not recommend anyone else drive that far for an appoint with Dr Ho

Dr. Ho, quite frankly saved my life. I had been seeing a different Neurologist at Tuft's as I started passing out, began having horrific balance issues and was falling over if I closed my eyes, and had sudden blinding headaches. The other Neurologist would not listen to me and after an MRI, would do no more for me and started recommending anxiety meds. I switched to Dr. Ho, who listened carefully and really thought about my case. He did additional specific testing and found that I had both an aneurysm and a blood disorder that made my blood very thick, restricting oxygen. From being horribly disabled to now feeling amazing. If I had not found Dr. Ho, I'd most likely be dead from a burst aneurysm. He's the best there is.

He saw me while inpatient after being admitted through the ER when I was out of state. He discussed my care with my long term neurologist back home who gave the right diagnosis, but he kept me in the hospital for 4 more days running every test he could think of, all of which were negative. He spent little time with me and was only interested in filming me for teaching purposes.
