Dr. Prum is consummate professional

At first his bedside manner was a little overwhelming, but after the second visit, I learned that not only does he care deeply about each of his patients, but he very knowledgeable. I have been seeing Dr. Prum for approximately 15 years and plan to continue my care with him. He is the best.

Dr. Says he doesn't do eyelids..

I'll be sorry when Dr. Prum retires.

Have been seeing this doctor for years. Had a six year lull while tending to my mother with Alzheimer's. After she passed I returned to this doctor since I feel I get the best care with him.

Dr. Prum is excellent, but way overbooked!

Dr. Prum is very knowledgeable. I think his patient load maybe too high. He appears to be pressed for time & this results in less consultation, explanations, & questions asked/answered.

I felt that my condition at this time as he put it is beyond what he can care for and he wants to do more but is stuck. He referred me, however this was my suggestion by phone months ago and felt this appointment could have been avoided because we had already discussed this previously. He has a very concerning heart for his patients .

Dr Prum is excellent to work with and has genuine concern for me as a patient

I've used Dr. Prum for 4 years to treat my glaucoma, including 4 surgeries and 2 more for cataracts. He is extremely hard working and diligent (and UVA keeps him overbooked). He may seem to be running constantly, but you only have to ask him a question, and he stops full on to answer you. I've had him call me on Saturday, and respond after hours with prescription OKs. I was referred to him originally by my optometrist, Dr. Wasiuta in Culpeper. He told me not to expect him to be my pal, but if his sister ever needed an ophthalmologist, he's the one. During eye surgeries, the patient is awake. So I know first hand what Dr. Prum is like under the gun. And I can't say how much I trust him for his authenticity, talent, and pure skill. He'll always tell you if he doesn't know something, which not all medical professionals will do. He can be frustrated by administrative failures, e.g. the computer. I can relate! But this is never about the patient.
