I forgot to mention the scar is nearly invisible.
I left a review of Dr. Perry concerning my broken wrist surgery in Feb 2023; however, I neglected to mention that the scar is nearly invisible, just a hairline. I figure a cosmetic surgeon could do no better. Though I now have two metal plates in my left wrist, it is only about one-quarter inch thicker than my right wrist. As I said in my earlier review, my left wrist performs just as well as my right. (And, strangely enough, since the broken wrist surgery the thumb joint on my left hand no longer clicks. I recall Dr. Perry saying I has some arthritis in that joint. Did he fix that too while working on my wrist?)

Mis diagnosis
I was under the 'care' of Perry (I refuse the title Dr.) for one year with HIS diagnosis of being old and having arthritis in my shoulder. Shame on me I waited a full year to ask for my records and went for a second opinion. Dr. #2 took one look at the same xray and saw a torn rotator cuff..... AVOID Perry at all costs! Glad he moved out of my area... sorry for Brookings.

I'd give a zero if I could
He was arrogant and dismissive of me and my medical team for the entire appointment. He belittled my doctor's for ordering an MRI and never looked at it. He moved my arm and when I said it hurt he told me he was talking and it was important I listened to him. I told him my joint was partially dislocating when I moved certain ways and he told me "joints move, that's what they do. If it hurts, don't do it." He said he didn't believe in PT and he wasn't going to waste healthcare dollars to have someone tell me to move, then he sent me home with a prescription I told him my body couldn't handle. Turns out I have two partial rotator cuff tears that were obvious on the MRI he ignored and I suffered for an additional 2 months to see someone else to get a proper diagnosis.

Severed tendon
I cut my tendon doing house repairs. Doctor Perry got me into the surgery room within 3 days of the accident. The surgery was successful. Doctor Perry and his staff took very good care of me. We are lucky to have him in our little community.

Think twice
Dr. did surgery after an at work injury. When saif closed my claim Dr. Perry sold me out. My wrist has 8 screw and a metal plate. He released me to full work which makes my claim worth zero. When I spoke with him he said it was still going to take a long time before I would be able to work full time. He said this several ways and very clearly. I now can't work even part time hours with out severe pain and swelling. Currently I live in a homeless camp and can't work. Not sure why he would sell me out. It is absolutely devasting financial for me. While Perry lives a nice life.

Good job fixing tear, now coming 4 knee replacment
Dr. Perry repaired a torn somethingorother in my knee. I injured it and thought I just had a tear that needed fixing, but the x-rays showed that my cartilage was all gone; it was bone on bone. He fixed the tear, but I continued to have other problems related to the lack cartilage. He said the other knee was probably likewise afflicted. Now, some years later, I find that he was right. Both of my knees are in bad shape. I had a good experience with my tear fix, so I'm now coming to Dr. Perry for knee replacement.

I am a 40-year retired racehorse trainer Dr. Perry was the only one of 4 specialists that found and recommended proper treatment and evaluation of my injury. He also did the shoulder operation on my sister 6 years ago and she has never since had any discomfort at all. Great job. Highly recommend. Eric W.

Do not let him touch you unless you don't want to have use of your body part anymore. Several bad surgeries cause by him. You will regret it.

People would say this gentleman lacks any bedside manner (my wife) because he tells you exactly how it is. I had a shoulder surgery that one of Medfords finest completed and 6-8 months later I could move my arm. I went to Doctor Perry and I now have no pain, no stiffness, and full range of motion. It's been 2 years now and I'm still feeling great. I'd highly recommend him
