Excellent care
My doctor took his time to answer my questions and concerns. Dr. Baird did not use staples to close my incision, so as a result I'm experiencing a flawless healing. He wanted to see me himself following the operation. I really appreciate him. If you need a knee replacement, he is your man! Thank you Dr. Baird!

Happy Percussionist
I can not stress enough how pleased I was with my Carpel Tunnel surgery with Dr Baird. As a professional percussionist, I was very worried that this could be the end of my playing days. He took the time to address all of my questions prior to the surgery, was reassuring the day of the operation, and provided excellent after care. I lost no accuracy, no sensitivity, no control, only some endurance that is returning each day. I was practicing within six days and was back in rehearsal after 12 days. I am scheduling my other hand with him for the Fall. Most highly recommended.

Micro Discectomy
I can't say enough about Dr. Baird and his team at North Country Orthopedics. I never felt like I was being pushed into an operation and he discussed other options for me. I experienced a problem with getting insurance approval and I know he was genuinely as frustrated as I was. The surgery was explained to me before scheduling, and was performed at Carthage hospital, where again everyone involved were caring and kind. I would recommend Dr. Baird!

Micro discectomy
I just recently had back surgery(micro discectomy) on October 26th so I’m a week out and ready to go back to work. I had no pain whatsoever after surgery, and was walking around within an hour in PACU. Amazing surgeon with great bedside manner. Not only does he specialize in spine surgery , but he also does other orthopedic surgeries including ORIF’s, ulnar nerve, carpal tunnel,CMC Joint Arthroplasty, and more. You will not be dissatisfied nor disappointed in the treatment and service with Dr. Baird !!! 10/10!!

We were very impressed with our experience at North Country Orthopedic. Dr. Baird was our surgeon and we would highly recommend him and the entire staff. Everyone was kind and considerate and the entire experience went 'like clock work'. Our office visits would also be included in this recommendation.

The worst doctor I have ever encountered as a service member..Was referred for a lower back exam by my main doctor on post due to my injuries. As I sat in the room with the doctor (keep in mind was 5 minutes max…very first time I had seen Dr. Baird) he asked me what I was feeling I told him that it was difficult to move. He said okay “Are you still in the Medboard process”, I said “yes” he asked “what for” and I said what it was for (not pertaining to my back) he then asked “are you going through with it” and I said “yes” he then, only made me walk across the room once and asked me to touch my toes (which I couldn’t do) and he looked as me and said “you can’t touch your toes” I replied “no cause it hurts” he then gets up and says “WELL EVERYTHING looks good on your back MRI and X-RAY GOOD LUCK, THEN WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM!!! I then asked the nurse if he could come back cause I didn’t get to talk to him. He only poked his head in and said “You can get a second opinion In SYR GOOD LUCK…..

Dr. Baird was wonderful, I had been in pain for months with my right elbow and wrist. I was having so much pain I was having a hard time completing my work. ( I sew for a living) I had seen several doctors about my problem. Finally I was referred to Dr Baird he got to the bottom of the problem, within 2 weeks I had surgery and have completely recovered. He and his team are amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Baird had a great bedside manner.

My last visit was awhile ago after my surgery on April 10th. They were supposed to schedule for my rt hand however had to reschedule and didn’t reschedule when I told them I had availability. I’ve filled one of these out before so I’m not sure why I’m getting another for only one surgery and a post op visit so long ago.

In a word, my experiences with Dr. Baird have been phenomenal. He performed total hip replacements for me in 2010 and 2015. Both turned out excellent and I would never know I underwent those procedures. He also partnered with Bartlomiej W. Szczech, MD, an othopaedic surgeon at Lake Placid Sports Medicine for two total knee replacements that occurred in September and November of 2020. Those knee replacements are also working out very well. In January of this year, Dr. Baird performed Carpel Tunnel Release surgery on my right hand. That procedure alleviated the pain I was having and restored much of the feeling in my fingers. I anticipate additional feeling returning in the months ahead. I would recommend anyone considering an orthopaedic procedure meet with Dr. Baird. I believe they will be just as impressed with him as I am. Jack W. Miller - March 18, 2021

I had a herniated disc that had caused me pain for months. I tried chiropractics, massage, medication, and physical therapy. Dr. Baird and his PA Mike were awesome at getting me in quick for an MRI. Once they saw the disc in my back I was scheduled for surgery within two days. I woke up in recovery feeling instantly better. The pain I had felt for months was gone. My foot slowly regained feeling over the next few days. I was back to work within 2 1/2 weeks. Over the next couple of months I just kept feeling better and better. Amazing job done by Dr. Baird and the North Country Orthopedic Group!
