Dr. Brooke Thigpen, MD

Dr Thigpen did an exploratory robotic procedure for my expected endometriosis. During all of my pre-op appointments she was always so kind and caring. She is one of the only doctors I have ever seen that actually listened and made me feel seen and cared for. During my procedure I was diagnosed with stage 3 Endometriosis involving my colon, intestines, and appendix. After the surgery she explained everything so well and she really saved my life. I would recommend her to absolutley anyone.

Dr. Thigpen is kind and takes the time to explain everything in detail and answers all questions. She’s thorough in your testing (biopsy and MRI). I highly recommend her if you’re dealing with Adenomyosis, Endometriosis and pelvic pain.

On 9/1/22 I went in a Robotic Vaginal Hysterectomy to be performed by Dr. Guan Xiaoming, MD. However, during the procedure he allowed Brooke Thigpen (License No. T0953) to takeover as his fellow. During her portion of the procedure, she completely resected my right ureter causing me to have emergency ureter repair surgery, also requiring the procedure to be converted from an outpatient, vaginal procedure to a multi-port laparoscopic procedure so that the Urology Team could perform a reimplantation of my right ureter and perform a stent placement. I spent 2 nights in the hospital and Brooke never took accountability for completely slashing my right ureter. It was not until I read over my medial notes from the urology team that I was made aware of the damage that Brooke caused. Even when asked with medical records in hand, she denied having caused the damage. This has caused significant complications in my life. I of course was billed for everything with no apology.
