Dr. Brock Hansen, MD

He keeps you. waiting for over an hour! He kept me waiting. Today was an hour, last time was an hour and a half. I won’t be back.

Dr. Hansen is very knowledgable, professional and kind.

After trying for 5 weeks to make an appointment, waiting for them to call me from a referral and then trying multiple times to reach them myself, I finally received a callback. First issue: when you call, you'll be notified while on hold what caller you are, but every single time I got to where my call was next to be answered, it sent me to voice mail. It didn't matter if I held for 2 minutes or 15, the result was always the same. Second issue: caller ID shows the call coming from a Veterinary clinic, not the Eye center - attention to detail is kind of important if I'm going to some one for a medical issue like a cornea transplant. Third issue: the person who did eventually call me back didn't identify themself and was short, unfriendly, and rude. She didn't want to help me because I didn't have a "chart" and wanted me to fax in the info (as a new patient, it's pretty clear I wouldn't have oa chart yet). Based on our conversation, her lack of professionalism and having no customer service skills, I finally bailed. Since I hit so many road blocks and had such a hard time getting in touch with them and having a negative customer experience, I went back to my Opthalomogist and asked for a different referral. Dr. Hansen may be the best eye surgeon on the Wasatch front, but unfortunately, all trust is lost based on the interaction with his office staff. If I can't rely on them for even the basic of basic things like booking an appointment, I don't feel like I can trust them with my care at all. Heaven forbid I went through with my cornea transplant and then had to reach out to them for care or questions after. Over all, it's been a very bad experience. Don't waste your time, go elsewhere. (They get 1 star only because you can't give them 0)

I went to another eye doctor and the surgery did not go well so I found Dr. hansen and he was 1 million times better. He took the time to listen to me. I never felt rushed whenever I was in an appointment with him he even contacted me after surgery to make sure everything was OK, my recovery has been 1 million times easier and I feel confident in his skills. I would highly recommend him.

Rushed through the initial exam and surgery. Eye sight worse after new lens was put in. In a hurry with everything, all about the money instead of the patient

Dr. Hansen performed my cataract surgery on both eyes. He used toric lenses to correct my astigmatism as well. He was kind and caring and willing to take the time to answer my questions throughout the process. Thanks to him, I no longer need full time glasses for the first time since I was 8 years old - I am now 69. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Hansen shouldn't be a Dr. He's terrible. Didn't help out. Rushed through my exam. Don't waste your time or energy.

Dr Hansen removed my dads cataracts and put in corrective lenses. He did a great job. My dad had no discomfort and can see better than he has it years. Dr Hansen was kind, professional and very skilled. He took time to answer all my dads questions.

I have seen doctor Hansen every month for the past year. He is always friendly and professional. I would highly recommend him. I am confident in his eye care treatment. I have a very unusual and serious eye condition and no other ophthalmologist was able to help. After seeing four doctors my eye condition was deteriorating rapidly, but Doctor Hansen has helped me to not loose my eye sight. He was able to diagnose my condition quickly which the other doctors couldn’t. He is a great doctor and I have confidence in him.

patient, honestly, Dr. Hansen was so sweet and thorough spent the time to alleviate all of my cataract concerns, didn't make me feel like a $, grateful to have found someone so passionate about his patients. Very thankful to have gone to him. now my whole family goes to him.

So great, honestly, i have seen a couple eye drs and not one of them cared for me like i was more than a $! he was very detail oriented and through, and took the time to calm my fears, thank you for all your help! see you in a year

Dr. Hansen didn't explain to my 85 year old dad what the risks of the surgery are. He didn't tell him if there was a chance that his eye would be worse after the surgery. He wasn't an advocate for my elderly father. After the surgery my dad's eye is worse. He still has a "fog" over his eye and now he has a hundred floaters and a white film on the bottom of his iris. Besides this horrible result my dad was kept waiting on a gurney for THREE hours with no TV, though it is obvious that he has neck problems. (The surgery was done at Mount Ogden Surgical Center.)
