Dr. Brock Cummings, MD

I had an appointment where the office staff of Dr. Cummings said he insists on new X-rays even though I told them I had 1-month-old X-rays from a different orthopedic surgeon. The problem is my insurance hardly covered the X-rays and my share of the X-rays was $2700!! The other orthopedic surgeon had sent over my x-rays so Cummings had them and the other orthopedic surgeon had their own imaging in-house. Dr. Cummings does not so you have to go across the hall to Enloe imagine where they price through the nose. The other same X-rays at the other orthopedic surgeon were $400 compared to $2700 at Enloe Imaging so not happy about that at all.

Dr Cummings replaced my hip in 5/20. I recovered in a timely manner but had significant pain raising my leg. It was a ilisoas impingement Fast forward 6 months and I started having more pain in my hip. I went to UCSF wher I was told my stem was loose and I’d need to have is replaced. Dr Eric Hansen replaced to stem and I recovered as expected. Over the next year I worked on the impingement. The pt did not work so I went back to UCSF and had the ilisoas released. I’m recovering from that now. I’m not sure if dr Cummings caused these issues but I do know that both happened after he did my hip replacement. I do know a friend of mine also had to get an ilisoas release after a replacement by dr Cummings.

Dr Cummings AND his team of professionals are wonderful to work with. I recently had a knee replacement surgery and cannot say enough to recommend this surgeon.

He and his staff were friendly. The only problem is after 15 months I am still having significant pain. He says he can not find anything wrong. Bottom line, see you in a year.

Had a total hip joint replacement 6 weeks ago. Entire process went better than expected. No pain days after surgery. Off walker, cane, was driving less than 2 weeks after surgery. Golfing at 6 weeks after.

Just had my Hip replaced and not only was Dr. Cummings and his staff patient. They were very thorough. Also did a wonderful description of the procedure and set my expectations up very well. Thank you to Dr. Cummings and his wonderful team.
