its great that he does both family medicine and sports medicine as my sons have had sports injuries...he is very knowledgeable about injuries especially ankles and also does not hesitate to refer to other areas of the UI if needed. We so glad he came back to the UI after he left for CO for a few years and took us back as patients.

Dr. Marcussen was very accommodating to get me in on short notice. He explained things in a way I could understand and he very calming to relay a difficult conversation. I felt much better after talking with Dr. Marcussen. He definitely knows his stuff!

Very impersonal, unfriendly, and incompetent. Did not wait to answer ANY questions- only talked to the resident in his 3 minute examination. Switched to Mercy after our experience with Dr. Marcussen.
