I'm a member of the queer & transgender communities, and Dr. Mack came highly recommended for affirming primary care in the region. I was excited and hopeful to find an affirming and knowledgeable doctor to support me in my transition. In the office, I found her to be empathetic, a good listener & willing to explain things. Unfortunately, the care I most needed was outside of her scope - something she acknowledged herself - but instead of referring me on, I had to ask for a referral & follow up myself. Communicating with her through the portal was a nightmare. I recognize most doctors are stretched beyond capacity, but I simply didn't hear back from her 90% of the time. As of now, I have 3 messages of importance (including one phone call) that haven't received responses, the oldest sent almost 2 months ago. This is unacceptable. Sadly, it is doubly so because the 'affirming' care she provides now feels more performative than authentic. I cannot, in good faith, refer others to her.

Discharged Me From Practice
Dr. Mack discharged me from practice I had been going to for 20 years. Interesting thing is - I have no idea who Dr. Mack is. Have never met the woman, yet she had no problem discharging a homebound patient with ongoing health issues from a practice. There were multiple MR #'s on my discharge notice, but office staff had no interest in resolving problem, too busy gloating. Really do you want to go to a practice where you can be discharged by random doctor and staff gloats over your misfortune?

Dr. Mack is great. She is attentive and asks relevant questions. She takes the time to listen to you and is thorough. The practice is fairly large, which means there's always someone to see you if you need, but it might not be your primary doctor. Scheduling time with your primary doc can take a while.

Dr. Mack is incredible. She makes me feel so comfortable, she actively listens, genuinely cares and takes so much time with you. I went in for a physical and ended up telling her about some personal things I had going on and she took the time to listen to me and offer guidance.
