Wonderful Surgeon
Dr. Pikul is a wonderful surgeon who has a great team and bedside manner. I had a brain mass removed, he walked me through the process in a way I understood and was patient when answering questions. He made sure I was comfortable with my decision and fully explained everything. His PA was also great.

Dr. Brian Pikul came highly recommended from a variety of sources, now the Chief of Neurosurgery for this hospital, and also for the region since few KP hospitals have a neurosurgery team. He and his team put in an extraordinary amount of extra work pre-op and during the surgery for a family member. He is meticulous, precise, and an expert in his field according to his peers. I couldn't have been happier with his outstanding results. I don't know what to say other than he can perform miracles.

Dr. Pikul is amazing I found out about 12 hours before my first surgery that I had to have brain surgery. I am a single parent and Dr. Pikul talked to my daughters and explained everything every step of the way. My kids and I were at ease with everything that we have gone through. these past few months. He even drew diagrams for my kids (their 20 & 22) to help them really understand what was going to happen.

I was sent to see Dr. Pikul by my specialist in San Diego. There was no brain surgeon that would operate on the mass in my brain because it was near my language and movement centers. I was even told by some doctors to just watch this mass with MRI scans. Dr. Pikul was able to remove it so that the MRI after surgery appears clean but I will have to have radiation therapy as was expected. I am so happy that I have him as my surgeon. I feel so blessed!

Misdiagnosed a brain MRI that I had done eight years ago. Told me it was like a scar on my brain. It was, in fact, a brain tumor that now eight years later has turned malignant. What a travesty.
