Amazing
Dr. Brian Neff took the time on our first visit to explain the reason for the surgical approach, along with his team and our neurosurgeon, that would result in the best outcome. He made our decision to go with him at Mayo Clinic easy. We could not be happier with the results of the surgery. He is truly amazing!

He ruined my life.
Dr Neff took a week to follow up with me after repeated call to his office after my balloon dilation procedure in 2017 for severe ETD. I suffered incredible neck pain and patulous eustachian tube. After explaining how much pain I was in, I was met with the answer of 'That has never happened before' and 'well you have a prescription for Oxy so you can take that'. I have suffered from debilitating Patulous Eustachian Tube ever since and have already had 5 surgical attempts to fix it (NOT at Mayo). No Dr at Mayo clinic would see me or attempt to help me with this condition even thought it was the dilation that caused it. I wish I had never been referred to Dr Neff - he completely ruined my life.

He is not a very good listener, interrupting constantly. He diagnosed my problem as neurological, his field, and suggested a drug. He does not seem to be knowledgeable about any other possibilities. I had a list of 5 other ideas I had obtained from the Internet and his answer to each, was to see a specialist in that field. My problem turned out to have nothing to do with his diagnosis; it was TMJ. I have always been very happy with the doctors at Mayo, but Dr. Neff was very disappointing.
