When I made my 1st appointment with Dr Joe, I was impressed that he could see me that same week I called. During the appointment visit I felt like he was not taking me serious and dismissed my complaints. He said I didn’t really need a follow up with him unless something changed. 3 to 4 weeks later I went back to see him and I felt the same way agin. His solution was to just prescribe muscle relaxers for headaches. Recently I needed two sheets of paper filled out for an insurance policy and his office said Dr Joe does not fill out forms. I asked if he had a 3rd party company do it for him. They said no. The firms were basically check marks of questions. So I am paying $25 for my medical records and will submit the entire medical records in place of the form that I needed filled out. When you start calling neurologist to make an appointment and everyone has weeks or months of a waiting list and then Dr Joe can see you that same week, they should have been a red flag to me.

Condescending and unhelpful
His manner leaves a lot to be desired. I saw him as a follow up for a possible seizure event. He sat there and basically said the hospital neurologist was wrong. Yet offered no other insight except to smirk and point at my psych meds. Will never go back.

I’ve been seeing him for over two years now. He has helped me a lot with my migraines, once we found the right meds. Aimovig is amazing and he offers low cost coupons (which are renewable). However, his visits are quite short, office team not very friendly and sometimes don’t even look at you. I really love doctors that have patient portals as I forget my appointments so have to call to find out the date and time again. Wish he’d provide more for his patients…

I saw this doctor for about 2 or 3 years. I was so disappointed in the quality of care. It seemed to be all about the money- more visits in order to bill the insurance but no resolutions. I don't know why I stayed as long as I did. He didn't listen to what i had to say just prescribed a different drug. I tried every drug under the sun with him.

Worst neurologist I've ever been to. He doesn't ask any questions and won't listen to you after he's decided what's wrong with you. He was in the office maybe five minutes, felt more like an urgent care than a specialist appointment. He didn't even ask if I had any questions.
