Dr. Brian Hatten, MD

Looking for an orthopedist? Dr. Hatten did arthroscopic surgery on my right knee which included fixing two meniscus tears, removal of arthritis and a bone spur. There was no doubt when I needed my left shoulder replaced, who I'd go to. He listens! He knows his business. He explains his options when picking the best solution. His staff is competent, friendly and caring. Did I mention he LISTENS!!!! I'm ten weeks out from surgery and have no pain, there is nothing I want to do that I can't do. The only negative I have is that I didn't have him do it earlier. Wonderful doctor and staff!

My right hip joint was replaced by Dr. Brian Hatten on 4 19 2024 By this fine Doctor. At surgical center I was greeted in preop with 3 or 4 very kind and professional nurses. Then taken to operating room. I wake up hours later and operation was complete. I walked out of there same day! My fourth day I walked one mile with walker in neighborhood. On 11 day I walked mile without walker or cane. Took oxycodone day after operation After that I took a 8 hour acetaminophen at night till 11th day. no pain medication after that. Very happy that I don't have to live with 4 years of daily pain, should have not waited so long. Finally many think they have to go to Mayo clinic or Cleveland clinic for the best. Don't be deceived, Dr. Hatten has done 1,000 posterior and 2,000 anterior hip replacements. Experience is the key. All reviews I read were five star. I know 4 people he did all very happy. Scott sewed me on like a fine garment. This Doctor is the best, even designs his own tools. Thanks Dr. Hatten!

Had surgery for broken hip in October 2022 still have severe pain surgery was done by another doctor I went to Dr Hatten for second opinion I had been a patient of his in years past and I trust his opinion I wish the hospital had given me a choice of surgeons when I broke my hip but they didn’t if they had I would have asked for Doctor Hatten

I’ve been a patient of Dr Hatten’s for many years through an Achilles tear and a rotator cuff tear and accompanying surgeries and recently knee replacement surgery. He and the staff have always been extremely caring, competent and available.

Staff was friendly. The Dr. was very friendly, professional and took the time to explain everything. The only negative was the wait time. They were very busy.

Had another Hip replaced a few weeks ago by the best orthopedic surgical team around ~ they replaced my left Hip april 2021 and it turned out to be a easy recovery and so far this Right Hip is on it's way to another full recovery. ~ My wife had a Hip replacement 5 years ago and a full knee replacement 3 years ago by this talanted surgical team. Their support team at the mason ave.Orthopedic clinic (Linda and Michelle) are top notch and helpful and will get back to you with answers to questions you may have ~ and linda will return your call promptly (which can be a rarity in todays customer service venue) I guess what I'm trying to say is In my opinion you can't go wrong on hip or knee replacement if you choose Doc. Hatten and his team

Saw dr Hattan after X-rays were done. We discussed my ACL and meniscus tears and made a plan of action for surgery. Can’t wait for it to be done.9

Dr. Hatten understood the issue with my neck and was able to explain the cause and a helpful resolution through physical therapy. He has a friendly manner and was open to my questions. I highly recommend him.

Dr Hatten has helped me with my arthritis for years. I get cortisone shots and also had knee replacement surgery. He is an excellent doctor.
