I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hancey for over 20 years. He was my first adult Dr after I was 18. I’ve seen him as a patient more times than I can count. In the last few years, I’ve become disappointed in him as a patient. He seems to care less, not listen as much, and truly, I’ve felt more like he thinks I’m crazy and a hypochondriac of some sort. He is a friendly doctor with good bedside manner.. just the quality of his care has gone down.

I have been disappointed with Dr Hancey over my last few visits. He is a friendly person but he really didn't listen to my concerns and symptoms. He focused on one or two and gave flippant responses that had nothing to do with the issue due to him thinking it was something simple. Turns out it wasn't and thankfully, I was diagnosis correctly from a physician that listened to all my symptoms and didn't focus on one or two of the symptoms.

I love Dr. Hancey. We were looking around for a doctor w/ a good bedside manner for years before a friend recommended us to him. He is kind, caring, and patient. We never feel rushed. I have several different issues that require controlled substances and he has NEVER made me feel like a druggie for needing them. (I take them *maybe* a few times a month for emergencies, but have had other doctors treat me like an addict over it.) Hancey understands and is careful, but not accusing. He is an A++!

Spent a good amount of time talking to me to determine what would be the best course of action. Discussed different medications, different options, and asked lots of questions.
