Spend 5 minutes for a consultation. Doesn't take the time to educate patient on the surgical procedure. Bad bedside manner. Cancelation of surgery 2 days prior to scheduled surgery. Would not recommend.

Went well
Appointments were easily made. His nurse Erin is very nice. Dr. Would explain what he was going to do in terms I understood without any problems. His therapist was great and made sure you knew what and why she was having you do certain exercises.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! I had an injury at work, and workmans comp sent me to him for my hand. He took one small look at my hand on the first appointment and said right away it's tendonitis. I told him that my hand swells up whenever I use it, and that there is a huge bump on my hand, and also refused to look at the pictures I have taken for evidence. He then said that we'd do a MRI and if i was still hurting, we'd do a cortosone shot (which wouldn't kick in until 48hrs, and it never worked). On another vist he told me that he feels something that wasn't there before (WHICH IT HAS BEEN THERE SINCE SEPTEMBER 09 2019!) SO he requested another MRI and told me he doesn't see anything there, so his diagnosis was tendonitis with trauma! He diesnt want to do surgery, and he says he priorities are to save Workmans comp money and not to care about my injury or helping me get better. Bottom line, this doctor is a waste of time. HORRIBLE DOCTOR

I would highly recommend Dr. Evanson for your Orthopedic needs. He is an extremely knowledgeable physician and he specializes in hand and upper extremity as well. His staff is friendly and professional and by far the least amount of time I had to wait to see a doctor ever!! He took his time to explain the options to me that were appropriate for my issues. I will definitely refer my friends and family to see Dr. Evanson.

Don't expect any consideration of your pain levels. My wife saw him twice for pain and he never asked about the levels she was experiencing. At the second visit, when she couldn't sit still due the extreme pain she was feeling, he suggested a cortisone shot (which wouldn't take effect for 48 hrs, he said), and over the counter ibuprofen. When he was told that she tried that and it wasn't working, he refused to consider anything else, said he only prescribes stronger pain meds for people he has operated on, and that he was going to put in her file that we were asking for narcotics! Then he started naming different narcotic brand names, asking if that was what we wanted, in what seemed like an attempt to try and catch us at something. Not once did we ask for narcotics, just a suggestion from him of some way to deal with the pain for a couple days that would actually work until the cortisone took effect.

He is simply rude and doesn’t seem to read notes before seeing patients, then He says one thing and the next appointment He says the opposite. The pain that I have been experiencing hasn’t improve after surgeries and his staff (Nurse) also very rude. I regret so much not looking for a different surgeon.

I saw Dr.Evanson for my issue that I had and he explained to me non operative treatment vs surgery options for my condition. He was very knowledgeable and explained things very clear to me. He answered all my questions and concerns that I had. I was very happy that he decided to have me try alternatives instead of jumping right to surgery. I definitely would recommend this provider

I finally found a surgeon who is knowledgeable and willing to take time to explain everything to me. I appreciated that he did not want to jump right into surgery, and had other options available for me to try. I will definitely be seeing Dr. Evanson again for any further issues I have!

Bad experience with Dr. Evanson. His narrow minded approach and leaving proven options off the table has left me in search of another doctor who is willing to listen to me and attempt to correct the pain I'm experiencing. If there was an option for zero stars that's what he'd get.
