ER Visit
Went to the VA ER at 3:30am with chest pains. Dr. Elliot was the attending doctor. He was very thorough and read my medical history. He explained what they were doing, the results and actions he felt should be taken once I was admitted to the hospital.

He proceeded to tell us our 6 month old child was upset because he just wanted to be held. After we visited the ER and had him tell us this and then proceed to tell us if our paternal instinct was that something was wrong with the baby to take him to his doctor the next day. We took him to his regular pediatrician the next day and found out he had a Epigastric hernia. Not only was he completely wrong in his diagnosis for my child, but he was smug and had little to no bedside manners.

We felt like were were being an inconvenience. Not very good bedside manners. Very short with us and was talking to us as he was walking out the door. Did not have a good experience. When told what procedure needed done for out infant he showed no compassion and walked out the door leaving us there worried. When we questioned all he said was " Well I told you, you were not going to like it." Very discouraging and an uncomfortable situation.
