Dr. Carter had a preconceived idea of my condition
He listened but didn't hear a word. I am a healthy individual with DDD and have finally gotten to the point of not being able to do simple tasks making life miserable. I force myself to work through pain, numbness for obvious financial reasons but nothing else is left. Although he was in there more than the required 10 minutes it was basically to dismiss my pain and symptoms. On the one hand he said I don't look at pictures just the patient and on the other he said you don't match your MRI and should not have bilateral pain. I feel he was biased against me because I didn't fit his cookie cutter mold. My expectation for him was good based on previous experience with physicians however I was greatly disappointed in his manner and lack of performance.

Back and rib pain diagnosed
I had an injury to my back and ribs two days ago and the pain around my ribs on my right front-size has been terrible. I thought I'd broken a rib or something. Dr. Carter did a physical exam and said he did not think it was a broken rib, but he took X-rays to be sure. The X-rays did not reveal any fractures and he concluded that it was cartilage damage / irritation that should improve with rest and therapy. I feel much better about my situation after my appointment today, knowing that it is not a broken rib. He is very friendly and easy to talk to which helps a lot when explaining symptoms and I highly recommend Dr. Carter.
