My daughter had her initial visit and she really liked the doctor but going to her next visit the staff wouldn't take her because they said she didn't have a primary care doctor, which she did if they made a simple phone call. This cause alot of issues with the staff and with being a behavioral health office you would think they would be more helpful and be willing to work to correct the situation. They ended up discharging her for disruptive behavior because of trying to fix this. We have never dealt with this before with a behavioral office. It's to bad, staff is the front line for the doctor to decide whether you stick with a doctor or not.

I just moved to the area, and need to find a doctor. Banner recommended "Dr." Smith to me. I have been on my medication for 5 years and wanted to talk about increasing dosage, and see what my options were. I waited 6 weeks to see this doctor, took a half day off from work, and was ready with all the pre appointment info. I was on time, and was told after arriving Dr. Smith was running late. 30 minutes later after sitting in a cold room, the PA came in and said "You might as well just cancel at this point, Dr. Smith does not even want to talk about dosage increase for this medication." It was mortifying to have to walk up to the front desk and get a refund while everyone stared at me. I felt horrible about myself, and was truly embarrassed. I just wanted to speak with someone about my mental health and the medications I am taking. Awful experience.
