Everything about Dr. Hymel and his staff was a positive experience. Front desk were friendly, courteous & professional. I was called to the back before I even got my receipt put away. Wow! When Dr. Hymel was delayed due to being called away for a short period, he first checked with me personally to see if I was okay with that. Again, wow! Nice to be shown respect. Unfortunately we thought we hit the jack pot when we got in so quickly with Metro GI, as they were highly recommended. We were scheduled with Dr. Brett Hymel and thought wow, this guy is going to figure out my Dad's issue. Unfortunately Dr. Hymel was arrogant and dismissive. The lack of empathy was shocking. It took us asking for a 2nd endoscopy to find the origin of my Dad's cancer. After asking for a 2nd endoscopy, he told me that it would probably be 'unremarkable' but he would go in again. He should have done it all the first time my Dad had to be put under. It is sad and disheartening to think this happens to people all of the time. His poor decision making the first time lead to a delay in diagnosis and months of pain for my father.
