Most important traits in a doctor to me: likes questions and discussion (instead of feeling challenged by questions and seeing it as a problem). Respectful of women instead of condescending. I could define this doctor by these traits. He was a great listener, always asked me for my questions and gave me LOTS of time. He made sure that I understood my treatment and was on board with it, but wasn't pushy or domineering. When I had a different opinion he listened as well as offered his own thoughts (not pushy). He always was kind and here's a great example of it: when doing a procedure he tells you what he is going to do ahead of time and is careful and sensitive. Valuable in all medical specialties, but OBGYN in particular.

I liked Dr. Heskett. He performed surgery on me, but before my surgery he sent me for a second opinion in which turned out very good, and in the end he was correct and everything went very good . Thought his bedside manner was great. My sisters were very impressed and he kept my family and me informed afrer my surgery. .As far as friendliness and urgency of Dr. Heskett and staff with scheduling other appointment and call backs was very good. I wish him the best if luck. Thank you!

He was very helpful throughout my pregnancy and after. If I had any problems I could just call and leave a message and they would get back to me. I was sad to receive a letter saying he was leaving Garden City.
