Worst ever
Displaced my fractured collarbone during colonoscopy, never even saw the doctor, and five years later I found they sent my account to collections for $17.00 but I never got a single bill or invoice ever. Horrible in every way

Crohn’s disease patient for many years
From the first time I met Dr. MurchieI have felt very comfortable, I have had Crohn’s disease for 43 years, and many surgeries. I find him to be very personable, and has always asked me in depth how I am doing. He has always listened to my concerns, and I think his staff is outstanding. Also, I have recommended several people to his practice and they are all thrilled with him.

I never felt comfortable with him. He insulted me twice during our consult. Never examined me both times. Never took the time to explain my test results in detail. I felt like a number. He has no compassion whatsoever. I will be looking for another gastroenterologist. His staff and nurse are top notch though. But, I say go elsewhere for a gastroenterologist to treat you.

okay, but can't recommend
Dr. Murchie is a competent GI doc and he has a good of humor. But if you're going through difficult or stressful times, then don't expect any real empathy from him cause I felt abandoned by his blunt dismissiveness. Judging from all these other reviews, I see that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Run away
This physician left me worse off, just wants to market colonoscopies to unremarkable patients then disappear. If you have any serious issue, please be discouraged from this doctor and the clinic he works at. He made a grave error diagnosing my condition and left me in incapacitating pain. His office manager and some of the staff are another story.

Not Forthcoming
I was referred to Dr. Murchie through my general. A routine colonoscopy was done in December 2021. I began vomiting during the last part of my prep. I reported this when I registered, to the attending nurse and the anesthesiologist. I was told it would be okay. I remember waking during the procedure for a very short time. Dr. Murchie came into the recovery area and told me the procedure was incomplete due to stool in my bowel. He was abrupt without any substanial conversation. He did not nor did anyone speak to my husband who waiting to drive me home. I received a followup call the next day from a nurse at the facility. I told her I felt fine except for my raw throat. She phoned me back and explained she had never heard that complaint before so she investigated my procedure. She reported that it appeared I had vomitted on the table during the colonoscopy. She was very kind and told me what to watch for incase of infection due to aspiration. I then phone to the office of Dr. Murchie's

I was having stomach discomfort and heard about Dr. Murchie from a friend. He took the time to understand all of my symptoms and came up with a game plan for figuring out the issue. The staff were great, from the first phone call to setting up an appointment to the follow up.

Dr murchie My husband is 74 years old , and our previous gastroenterologist was located in south Florida; we now reside in Orlando and we were looking for a gastroenterologist for both of us and were referred to Dr Murchie by a mutual friend. We called , made an appointment with him , and are very happy with this choice. We found Dr Murchie very pleasant and polite , he listened to my husband’s concerns and took the time to explain to both of us the science behind the problem. I was very impressed by his warmth and professionalism. I will be definitely making a switch to Dr Murchie for my future appointments after our experience with him.

I really like Dr. Murchie. He is a kind and pleasant person. He does not seem in a hurry when he is with you. He takes the time to be sure you understand his diagnosis and plan of treatment. I believe he is genuinely concerned about his patients.

His bedside manners are very inferior. He is rude and seems reluctant to help. He is aloof and snobbish to his patients. His staff is very attentive and kind. He should learn from them.

Dr. Murchie was referred by my previous Dr. who retired. Ihave a history of G.I. issues, primarily IBS and GERD. Initial visit was positive. Staff seemed professional, ditto the Dr., who prescribed bloodwork and a hospital outpatient test. I was told that they would calling me to discuss results and set up a future appt. protocol. Heard nothing after 3 months. Recently phoned for an appt., recording advised to leave a msg for a callback. Nothing after 5 days. Avoid this place.
