Dr. Brenda Coutinho, MD

Dr. Coutinho is the Best Dr on the face of this Earth. She helped me thru my High Risk pregnancy. She stepped up to the plate and delivered our Beautiful Girl. I know she will never forget it and I won't either. I'm so Blessed to have her as my OBGYN. So if you want a Top Notch Dr. she's your girl. Luv Leann F.

For my first pregnancy, I didnt meet her until the day before I gave birth, which was 2 days before my due date. She asked me if I was having a boy or girl. She knew nothing about me even with all of my records. She wasnt there for the birth, which is common. But the postpartum care is why I fired her immediately. At 6 weeks out, I had several concerns. One of those concerns was related to my uterus. Her and a nurse told me I have the green light to be cleared for everything, I could barely walk. The nurse grabbed my stomach, which was still very tender and told me to get used to it because bodies change and it’ll be like that forever when I shared my concerns. Then I was told I should be admitted due to my low scores on the emotional quiz they give but “I have a baby so they’ll just send me home.” Brenda could have cared less about literally anything. I was hysterically crying and she told me she had another patient. I fired her, changed to UMASS and got a doula for my second.

My previous doctor (while very nice) didn't seem to be entirely on top of my health, so I decided to switch - I am SO GLAD I did. Dr. Coutinho is by FAR the best doctor I've ever had - she is a great person with an excellent bedside manner, but from a healthcare perspective she is incredibly knowledgeable and perceptive, knows what to look for and gets to the bottom of things, and she has gone above and beyond (even during her vacation) to get me the necessary care as soon as humanly possible. While no one wants any health issues, I'm very glad that my issues are in the hands of someone so competent, experienced, and kind. In a broken healthcare system where our experiences are so often disappointing, Dr. Coutinho is a glowing example of what healthcare SHOULD be. So grateful I found her, and 100% would recommend.

Excellent Doctor!!! I’ve been to some of the best gynecologists in Brookline and in Newton, with one retiring and the last one passing away I was referred to Dr. Coutinho from a friend , all I can say is I am so happy, she has been wonderful not only is she very smart and knowledgeable in her field she’s also caring, sensitive and always takes her time and answers all my questions and makes me feel so comfortable !!!! I’m so glad I found her!!! I sent my daughter to her and she felt the same way now my mother is going to go to her also!!!

Very personable. Asks pertinent questions. Listens intently and gives great advice.

Do not see her. RUN, your baby will develop a whole host of health problems because she doesn't care. She does not have the heart for practicing medicine. Always super late, not allowed to ask questions so mean I went to another doctor after delivery. The nurse practitioner was better than her. I am not even sure why she was needed. I had an in house doctor to deliver and NP followed me the whole time. I wished I had not seen her, I might have been better cared for, without having to deal with child's health.

My 3 daughters and myself all see Brenda. She is wonderful and cares about every patient the same way. I would recommend her to all. Her staff is wonderful and pleasant all the time.

Dr. Coutinho is wonderful! She is a dedicated doctor to her patients. On a few occasions she has taken the time to call me at home off hours and answer my questions. Looking back they were minor issues but at the time they were “urgent” to me. I needed that reassurance and she provided it! She is a calm, confident Doctor who cares about her patients, which isn’t always easy to find.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Coutinho! I have been a patient of hers since I was 16. I began to see her when she had an office in Wellesley, and 19 years later I still make the drive to see her through her move to her offices in Milford and Hopkinton. I trust and value her opinion and practice more than any other doctor or specialist I have. She genuinely cares so much about her patients and I could never imagine going to anyone else.

Doctor Coutinho is an amazing Doctor. She listens to what her patients have to say, addresses their concerns and does not sugar coat anything. She's realistic, down to earth and is very easy to talk to. If highly recommend her.
