Dr. Braulio Carrero, MD

Dr. Carrero and staff are nice, and accommodating with their appointments. However, he failed to listen attentively to my father's concern and the actual underline health issue that ultimately lead to his death- lung cancer. A patient over 55 years old, who smoked for over 30 years, continuous sudden weight lose, and continous shoulder pain was told was just a bone spur and diabetes symptoms. Dr. Carrero never recommended a yearly lung cancer screening for for who met the criteria that put him at higher risk for developing the disease. He was in fairly good health, but smoked with a smoking history equivalent to a pack a day for over 30 years. In sum, Dr. Carrero sent my father for an MRI scan when he was already stage 4 with mestasized lung cancer. Patient lasted 14 months afterwards. I would be very cautious when seeing Dr. Carrero as the primary health doctor.
