Resolved Chronic finger pain.
I had a chronic pain in my middle finger. Dr. Massey x-rayed and treated the finger with a steroid shot on the date of my first visit. Problem resolved completely. He was courteous, professional and very competent. I was able to watch the insertion of the needle into the joint on an x-ray as it happened. The procedure and options were explained in detail prior to proceeding.

I was admitted to TMC via the ER due to an infection in my middle finger on my left hand. He performed two surgeries to drain the abscesses and now I have no use of the finger. The finger is now in a semi curled position and is frozen. Been seeing physical therapy twice a week for six weeks and I still have no use of the finger. When I went for my scheduled follow up appointment he said there would be no way to fix it without being laid up for close to a year. I was then told my only option was amputation. Dr Massey based all his surgeries and prognosis on the fact I am a double lower limb amputee, assuming he knew how I use my hands. He never once explained what he did to my finger, even when face to face he based all on assumptions, was rude and uncaring. I left his office and am seeking another hand surgeon to see if my finger will ever be useable again.

After Dr Massey wrecked my dominant hand I filed a claim with the Az Medical Board. . "The Board voted to issue Dr. Massey an Advisory Letter for improper treatment of metacarpal-phalangeal joint injuries and inadequate medical record keeping. The Board believes that continuation of the activities that led to the investigation may result in further Board action against the licensee. " DO NOT use this fool . This isn't his first case

Broke my wrist and urgent care gave me a temp cast, was referred to Dr. Massey and got an appointment the next day. I was in extreme pain. Never saw the Dr. only his PA and was given a brace. It has been 6 months since the original break and saw a different Dr for another problem who after xrays said I should have had surgery for the original break since it has not healed the way it should have. My wrist is misshapen and there is a separation that should not be there which would have been corrected by surgery at the time of the break. I would never go to this Dr. again. (Never actually saw him) I also still have some pain in the wrist.

If I could leave zero stars I would, I came to see Dr Massey via work related injury , I'm a licensed esthetician and my hands both went numb during a facial so my company sent me to see him and he did ordered a nerve test and some autoimmune tests but that was it! Then basically sent me back to work! I felt like there was more he could have done but dismisses me and my pain??

I was referred to Dr. Massey because I injured my hands at work. I was not impressed with this knowledge. He immediately suggested surgery without having the relative test. His is incompetent. I keep having to beg them to do their job. Be proactive and obtain my test results before my appointment. Instead I was told to get my results my self. I fired Dr. Massey and sought treatment with another doctor.

Dr. Massey did a great job on my hand. I had a nasty infection. He diagnosed it correctly after two urgent care visits made it worse. I wish I had known of him sooner. Very satisfied

He very successfully performed hand surgery on my left hand a few years ago, and I’m doing great now. It took a while, to heal and that was a little scary, hand surgery is pretty serious. He is an exceptional Dr. I have to thank my pcp for the great referral.

After reading some of the reviews previously posted, I was a little anxious about meeting with Dr. Massey. My appointment with him was a totally positive experience. His personality was very pleasant and approachable. He listened to my concerns, was very informative in explaining the anatomy and physiology that was causing my pain. He explained treatment alternatives, including exercises I could do to alleviate pain and a promise that I could get an appointment quickly if the pain escalates.
