Dismissive
I saw him at a freestanding ER. I had a crush injury to my hand. He told me he had a hand surgeon that had told him no pain medications and no splinting regardless of a contracting finger. I had several deep abrasions on my hand and told him I had not had a tetanus shot in over 5 years. He decided not to order the needed tetanus shot. He based his decisions on his own separate injuries and his hand doctor’s advice and didn’t do the basic thing of giving me a tetanus shot
