Two years ago he did reverse shoulder repair on me and I am pleased to say it hasn't slowed me down. I'm a construction electrician who abuses his body daily and haven't been able to break it. Very happy with his work.

I went to Dr Schoch after suffering full thickness tears of my right rotator cuff. I had severe pain and physical limitations as a result of my injury. Dr Schoch reviewed my MRI and immediately knew nit only what the options were, but what the best option was for me. His brilliant diagnosis and plan of treatment saved me from getting a shoulder replacement. Of course I took his advice and surgery was scheduled. He was absolutely upfront in informing me that the recovery would be a bit lengthy and difficult at times. I took all of Dr Schoch’s advice and recommendations and the results are spectacular! I am now 7.5 months post surgery and am virtually pain free having full use of my shoulder with no restrictions. I could not be happier with the results and my experience with Dr Schoch and his amazing team at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. I am grateful for the truly outstanding care which I received from initial consultation through my final visit.

Dr. Schoch is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Schoch has performed surgery on both of my rotator cuffs. He is confident and competent which is what I look for in my physicians. I have not had any post-surgical problems with either shoulder, however I know of others who have had the same type of surgery that I had by other physicians in other hospitals and each of them are experiencing some pain and limitations long after their surgery which started soon after their procedures. His patient care is obvious and his expectations for both himself and my recovery are high which I believe has contributed to my successful recoveries.

Mayo Clinic and Dr. Schoch offered a comprehensive solution to my shoulder problems.

I had been experiencing shoulder pain and lack of mobility for two years and had another surgeon look at an MRI report and suggest surgery. I went to see Dr Schoch for a second opinion. Dr Schoch called off the surgery and (correctly) pointed out I had another injury that would have limited my recovery and had to be addressed first. I followed his advice, recovered and had two more years pain free. When I did finally require a procedure Dr Schoch again took a less invasive path than other surgeons were planning and again was proven right. I had a pain free recovery and am well under way to full mobility and recovering my strength. Mayo's model of surgeons being compensated with a fair salary instead of payment for procedures leads to the correct plan and Dr Schoch is a highly skilled surgeon who acts in complete alignment with his patients needs. If you have a significant shoulder issue, attempt to see Dr Schoch before electing for surgery. He is simply the best.

My two daughters have had surgery from other Dr's and have had repetitive issues and have had to redo a surgery......I say this to contrast the great experience and no trouble at all processes this good Dr has done for me. DR. Schoch replaced my shoulder in Oct 2023 and I have nothing but great reviews for him, his staff and the entire Mayo team. The pre surgery care was great, the surgery was, frankly, unremarkable, the follow up was great and the final result is wonderful. What more could I have asked for? Thank you all.

Dr. Schoch performed my rotator cuff surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. He is an excellent surgeon and doctor. Operation went great but also goes out of his way to be prompt on appointment times and very thorough in his exams and related follow up visits. Dr. Schoch did an excellent job repairing my bicep tendon. After completing his directed physical therapy, I have achieved 100% recovery in 3 months.

Recently had rotator cuff, labrum and biceps tendon surgery with Dr. Schoch. Excellent experience from pre-op through physical therapy. Dr. Schoch and his team were respectful of my condition, explained all parts of the procedure to my satisfaction and were easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Dr. Schoch and the staff at Mayo for anyone who needs a shoulder procedure.

I fell and damaged my rotator cuff over the summer. Dr. Schoch was recommended to me by several people. I was very impressed with him from our first meeting. He thoroughly explained the process and the pros and cons of having the surgery. The surgery went well and I had very little pain. Dr. Schoch was easily approachable and was always there if had any questions or concerns. The recovery program was conservative but well worth the time. I now have full use of my shoulder. (I'm thinking of having the other shoulder done just for fun. LOL PMP)

Dr. Schoch did a fabulous job with my reverse shoulder replacement. I recovered quickly and one year out, I now have 95% pain-free motion of my left arm/shoulder. I highly recommend Dr. Schoch to anyone who needs shoulder surgery.
