Inattentive and unorganized
Doctor was supposed to prescribe medication before my appointment that I had set six months before, the Dr never did and I tried calling numerous times to rectify the situation. No resolution

Dr Katz has been helping my husband retain his eyesight for several years. He has always explained his options and taken care of many issues. Recently there was concern a serious condition was developing and Dr. Katz went out of his way to make sure the imaging was scheduled promptly at University Hospital, then he called us personally, at home the day after (a Sunday) to give us the good news. We were so impressed with his expertise, concern and consideration.

My husband and I have both seen Dr. Katz for cataract surgery, and general eye care. We both found him to be extremely professional and thorough. He took the time to answer our questions to our complete satisfaction, explaining technical information in terms that we could understand. He was always very friendly and courteous. We travel about 350 miles each way to visit Dr. Katz, and figure it is time and money well spent. He's da bomb!

I was referred to Dr Katz by Dr Hoffman to try an diagnosis some mysterious smptoms I was experiencing in addition to my double vision being treated by Dr Hoffman. I got an appointment quickly and my wait in his office was minimal. Dr Katz was very thorough with my history and listened to my laundry list of symptoms. Although he was not able to diagnosis my condition, he followed up with me at home and has since referred me to a retinal specialist for an entirely new problem that just arose

He didn't read any of my paperwork about why I was there before walking into the room. He refused to discuss any of my medical history or pertinent family history. He was in and out in less than 2 minutes. He didn't even examine my eyes, but just regurgitated the same rare diagnosis (but not as well) as the referring ophthalmologist. He gave me no options for treatment and was an extremely poor communicator.
