Scary
I was sent to see this doctor. The receptionist was rude. The office needed a good cleaning and de-clutter. The wait was rediculus. After being placed in a room more waiting, eval by nurse who practitioner, more waiting and finally saw doctor after 2 hours of waiting. He did not tell me how bad my injury was. Just I would have to have surgery. Told to avoid bending, twisting, and lifting, which was my job, but told me work was ok. Next appointment did not discuss much but insisted on injections. Worst pain in my life. I have never had this much pain with injections and I didn’t have someone to drive me home. Needless to say I listened to my gut and had 2nd opinion and was told the extent of my injury. Grateful I listened to my gut and did not return to this terrible doctor.

After initial appointment, Dr McColloms office failed to submit my referral for PT for several severe back injuries. I called the office several times and no response. When I showed up to my follow up appointment, I was left waiting over an hour. The nurse had previously mentioned they didn’t have my MRI file because of a computer issue. Knowing he hadn’t looked at them because I just provided them, he recommended spinal injections for my “injuries”. When I corrected him on what my injuries actually are, diagnosed by several doctors who reviewed my file, he said “I’m not going to argue with you. You can just leave”. Never have I received such negligent care and someone throwing around such invasive treatment without properly even reviewing my file. Then on top of it to have such an arrogant and rude attitude instead of simply looking at the scan results is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.

I had a hemilaminectomy procedure performed and came out with an open heart surgery type incision... They made an abdominal aortic laceration... Had to be induced to a medical coma for their negligence... Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Dr. Brad McCollom never made themselves responsable for this error, negligence or malpractice...
