Dr. Bobby Bhasker-Rao, MD

I've had over a dozen surgeries, including several open abdomen procedures and this is the worst after surgical care I've ever had from any doctor's office. I've not seen Dr Bobby since surgery, though I've been back in the hospital twice since then. I have only talked to his NP on the phone. I give her my vitals and assess my own medical status and she writes it down. I asked for antibiotics and was told to refer to my personal physician. I plan on visiting the urgent care this morning to get the after-surgery assessment and care I have not had from this office. Dr Bobby is such an amazing surgeon; I am unbelievably disappointed in his office procedure since pandemic. It was not this way for my previous surgery in 2017.

I wanted to express my appreciation for what Dr. Bobby and his staff have done for me!I started my new way of life in January 2023, my weight was 444. I’m a big man 6’5” but that was way to much weight! After breaking my back in 2017 in two places and crushing my spinal cord, I couldn’t walk for almost a year. The weight just started piling on from point on. I tried everything you have heard of with little or no success. Lose 20 pounds, gain it back plus another 10-15 pounds. It was a vicious and depressing thing to live through!Dr. Bobby has given me hope and a light at the end of a very dark long tunnel. As of 8/24/2023 I am already down to 384 pounds. More to go, but 60 pounds is no joke!!Thank you so much Dr.Bobby and Staff!!!

When they started with me everything they said they would do they have done and all you have to do is follow the directions pretty simple takes a little bit of willpower but if you want to have this done in your interested in making your health a lot better I suggest you do it I was very satisfied with everything they've done for me can't believe what I'm going through without their help I mean gosh it was just it's amazing what they've done amazing people amazing doctor.

My husband is 3 months post-op from his gastric sleeve surgery and communication with the nutritionist Courtney via email or phone call has been non-existent. After paying $3500 out of pocket just for office fees/supplements/nutritionist 1-1 and hopeful for feedback or questions after surgery, it's incredibly frustrating to see your partner not receive any assistance whatsoever after attempting to ask for help. Do better, Courtney. Or follow up!

I had surgery 6 days ago and everything went great. I was able to go home the next day with no pain. I was up and walking around the block after the 4th day. Overall after the 6th day I have lost 30 lbs and feel amazing and happy I chose him as my surgeon.

The surgery this doctor did, caused me to need four blood transfusions and months of needless pain. It took me over a month to recover from something that should’ve taken less than a week. I recommend choosing another surgeon.

I like Dr Bobby’s approach because it evolve all aspects of recovery, not just the surgery. The nutritional counseling is outstanding and beneficial to my success.

Dr. Bobby is amazing! I was terrified by the prospect of having weight loss surgery when my doctor referred me to Dr. Bobby. However, he has an excellent record as a surgeon. He places the health and safety of his patients above all other concerns, which is why none of his patients has ever died from surgery. Now, a year and a half after my surgery, I am no longer obese and my health has improved immeasurably. I am so grateful to Dr. Bobby and everyone on his staff. They are meticulously professional, very knowledgeable, and deeply dedicated to providing high quality care for their patients.

Dr Bobby is outstanding. Original surgery sleeve was done 9/10/18. It was a success lost 62 pounds. Only trouble acid reflux was aweful. Dr Bobby did gastric bypass. While operating found a very large hiatal hernia. He repaired it. This was 11/13/19. I am doing extremely well and no acid reflux. So happy to have found Dr Bobby. The whole staff are wonderful.

The front office staff is welcoming and quick. My first visit and I already feel comfortable, no judgement from them. Dr.Bobby made me feel relaxed, spent alt of time discussing options.

Dr Bobby was amazing he in fact saved my life I have nothing but good things to say about him and his wonderful staff I love how they all just took care of me my procedure was done on 4/16/2019 and I am pleased to say that i choose the perfect dr and staff

He is a amazing doctor, staff is great not only at the office but at the hospital as well.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Bobby and his staff. He knew my insurance requirements well and he and his staff worked very hard with me to make sure I was able to meet those requirements. My procedure went well without complications and even more exciting than all the weight I am losing is the fact that I am off all of my diabetic medicines, blood pressure meds, and cholesterol meds! I look forward to my first grandchild in December and because of the doctor, I will be around for her.

Dr. Bobby, overheard my conversation with his office staff, he ended up getting on phone; answered my question "I help your brothers all the time and perform bloodless surgery Gastric Bypass, just come down." I drove from Upland to Rancho Mirage. Dr. Bobby seminar was collegian level instructive as if he was teaching dr's explaining all the time. NOT ONE LOST LIFE TO DATE. Dr. Bobby worked with me. I am allergic to Morphine, he used another med to do surgery and saved my life. Forever great full

Dr. Bobby performed a VSG during October of 2016. Since my surgery I have come off of all of my diabetes and blood pressure medications. Blood pressure is normal. Sugars are getting lower every day. I feel incredible and have so much energy. Thank you Dr. Bobby!
