Dr. Blanca Duncan, MD

Dr Duncan is an okay OBGYN. She's great if you need routine care. I was having issues and at every appointment I would have to re-explain my symptoms. I don't think she ever glanced at my file to refresh her memory. And every time I would repeat my issues, she would give a completely different theory of what was happening. When I would ask about the previous treatment she'd prescribed, she would seem confused as to why she'd prescribed that treatment. It was like I was in a Monty Python skit. The last straw was when they rescheduled my appointment without notifying me. I showed up to the original appointment and they acted like I should have magically know they rescheduled. No one ever called or emailed. Also, i repeatedly told them the patient/Aetna portal wasn't letting me login and they never fixed it. I was never able to access any of my lab results.

First visit with this doctor after my previous one retired. I apprecaited her reviewing my history and answering my questions about future care. She has a conversational style and seems relatable. The nurse was also friendly and spent time asking questions to add to my file.

I have been seeing Dr. Duncan for years and every time I go in, I am impressed by how kind, gentle, compassionate and encouraging she is. She takes the time to answer questions and makes sure I understand what is happening and what the steps are going forward. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

Not only did she spend less than 10 minutes with me in my last 3 appointments, I have not received any lab results released to my Athena portal in three months to make educated medical decisions for myself. Dr. Duncan inserted her finger in my vagina for an exam that should of used a speculum, weight shamed me despite being severly ill for most of my pregnancy and has been over all the worst OB I have ever had the displeasure of seeking care from. Unprofessional, non communicative, lazy staff, short & curt.

I like Dr. Duncan very much. I have been going to her for several years. She is easy to talk to, and her exams are easy.

Dr. Duncan saw me on my very first visit on a whim. I was late because of a traffic light that was down. Traffic was backed up for miles and the doctor I had an appointment to see that morning @ Oakwood said I had to reschedule due to being late (only by about 5 mins. or so). Due to the virus it had taken me a bit to find an office to see me. This appointment was very important... (I NEEDED to see someone immediately) My husband went back up and asked and pleaded with the staff to see if there was ANY doctor that could see me that morning...I was/ am very sick. She agreed to take me in and I think she literally saved my life that day!! This has been a very rough and emotional journey trying to get myself healthy again and Dr. Duncan has been AMAZING. There really are not enough words to describe her wonderful service. Her assistants/staff (Sierra) are amazing as well!! I am a firm believer in every thing happens for a reason and I was definitely blessed with Dr. Duncan that morning.
