No human values , no sensitivity, no knowledge about patients underlying conditions on ER awful experience . Worst experience ever.

Disappointing , lazy
I was admitted for treatment of a large kidney stone by the hospitalist on call. Referral was made to urology & I was taken to surgery within a short time. The urologist told my husband in post op that he was fine with me going home same day & this was noted in the chart. I easily achieved all the discharge related goals & asked about going home. The nurse contacted the hospitalist to request discharge orders. The on call hospitalist had changed since the time of admit & though he (Dr. Houser) was on site & could review the notes indicating discharge was approved by urology, he refused to document the discharge saying he couldn’t put his name on the chart without seeing me. My husband (a local family MD for the same hospital group for more than 30 years) spoke to him suggesting he come do a short patient visit then so that he could substantiate the discharge. Dr. Houser refused. My best interests as his patient were definitely not his priority . IMO it was lazy & disrespectful
