Dr. Okino listened to my concerns. As a patient with a rare disease, I was comforted by his attention to detail and his thoroughness in consulting my doctors. I feel comforted knowing a smart, capable doctor is in my local ER!

This doctor needs to get a heart if he’s dealing with human beings, otherwise, he’s better suited to work as a car mechanic and fix cars instead, or a job that deals with inanimate objects. After an excruciatingly long 6 hours wait to finally see a doctor, only to receive horrible, cold, uncaring, non-compassionate medical care is traumatizing. Makes me wonder why doctors become doctors when they don’t seem to care about sick and vulnerable people. Kona Hosp. Emergency sucks and is a nightmare!

Great doctor. It doesn't matter what ER you go to you will wait at least an hour. He does what he can with the resources Kona Hospital has to offer. All the staff in the ER does. They were all great.

Great doc, professional and helpful

Excellent physician. Would recommend him highly based on his great bedside manner and obvious competence with clinical judgment. Going to the ER is never fun but this man obviously does what he can to assist patients when they are there with the resources available. I had a great experience with him and have only heard excellent reviews from others who have as well. This community is lucky to have him practicing here.

Cold and unfriendly ER doctor. Lacks compassion and heart. I wonder why he's a doctor in the first place when he doesn't seem to care about his patients. He just goes through the motions, like a robot, and is just doing a job. Terrible, horrible experience with him at Kona Community Hospital. I avoid going to ER at all costs.
