Dr. Bita Ashourzadeh, MD

This physician visited me after a surgical procedure at NYU Langone Long Island. She asked if I was having any post-op pain. The doctor did not ask any questions about my previous medical history, surgical history, allergies, family history, social history or home medications. Her hospital note was clearly copied from the pre-op notes from my primary care physician. She spent less than 1 minute visiting me. However, her consultation note also documented a complete physical exam of multiple organ systems. The physician never examined my lungs, heart, abdomen, extremities, or any other body parts. Her stethoscope was wrapped around her neck and never touched my body. The next morning Dr. Ashourzadeh walked into my hospital room and again asked if I had any pain. Again no physical exam was performed and no other questions were directed to me. The stethoscope remained wrapped around her neck. Of course, my insurance was billed for a consultation and hospital follow-up visit. Disgraceful
